2 close combat arms
2 close combat arms
I'm new to chaos and Warhammer 40k in general after a long absence. I am yet to even play a game of 5th ed lol.
Tactics seem obvious. Land raider and Rhinos do the usual rush and afterwards make a nuisance of them selves or in the Land raiders case, shoot some armour. Berserkers and Kharn just hack stuff up. Termicide is a cheap semi-dependable way of taking out nasty stuff. And finally we have the Defilers which are there to look scary and take some fire away from the transports. They are fluffier than vindicators/predators/obliterators as well which is important to me. If they do make it into combat then that's great too!
Comments and criticism welcome.
1. It would also be nice to hear from people who use this sort of list. Is it fun to use, have enough anti-tank etc?
2. It would also be good to hear what people think about termicide squads and how they would upgrade this list to 2000pts...
3. Also is it a good option to add a twin-linked lascannon to one of the defilers? Would add another anti-tank weapon to the army and would also be another thing on my opponents mind...

I'm using almoste the same armylist as you actually. But not the lord. I go with sorcerers with lash, on bike actually some times, or DP with wings. But I haven't played with it yet.
I haven't played for so loong, but my sugestion would be to go with at least one more terminator, so they would be harder to take out. Should you not have an icone to deepstrike the by?
I think I would go with one twinlinked lascannon on one defiler.
Hope I could help. = )
I would get rid of those three termies and just add marines to each squad, 8 guys can get cut down really fast if your unlucky
