I've been playing daemons ever since the codex came out and have only ever won 2 battles. So heres my list and please tell me what I'm doing wrong:
MoT, Flight, Iron Hide, Unholy Might, Master of Sorc, Bolt of Tzeentch, Daemon Gaze, Breath of Chaos
HQ: Fateweaver is good. Skulltaker is poor. Swap him for 10 blood letters or 3-4 bloodcrushers and you see which is more survivable and more potent in combat.
Elites: Good. I like these and use 3x3 in my list.
Troops: Good. 2 Icons should be enough especially as you will be hugging the fateweaver for the safety zone rule much of the time. Daemonettes are usually too fragile but with the reroll saves they are good.
Heavy: One soulgrinder will attract all the antitank firepower in the enemy list and not last long. Drop it. Daemon prince is far too expensive. Take 3 princes with MoT, Bolt and possibly gaze.
Quorn! - Protein for the Protein God.
mad kat is right for the most part but i suggest making at least one of those DPs with the nurgle mark and Noxious touch and breath of chaos and possibly iron hide. always a good combo
