One of my friends just recently took up 40K and has decided to go with a Chaos Daemons army with a little help from me (a CSM player). I've been trying to help him out with a list and decided to run the one I came up with by the people who actually play them (since no one in my area plays Daemons). Sorry if I can't remember the names of some abilites or units, I'll try to describe them as best as possible:
HQ 1: The Masque
HQ 2: Keeper of Secrets
Pavane of Slaanesh
Troops 1-5: Daemonettes of Slaanesh x10
(with the mark that makes them win by a wound in tied combat)
Fast Attack 1-3: Tzeench Flying Meltabomb units
Heavy 1-3: Soul Grinder
(Blast Template upgrade)
I think there may be a few points left over here but the basic idea is to distract the opponent with Soul Grinders and the Keeper of Secrets, while the Tzeench dudes fly around popping tanks/transports/contesting objectives and the Daemonettes clean up infantry that are now being moved around thanks to The Masque and Keeper of Secrets and no longer have a Rhino or such to hide in.
World Eaters: W-47 D-10 L-9
Necrons: W-19 D-3 L-2
Protectorate of Menoth: W-36 D-0 L-7
Screamers only have 1 attack and vehicles moving over 6" make hem useless. Fiends are better armor busters and capable against everything else.
Daemonettes suck. S3/T3 hurts a lot. PBs are your best bet, simply because they're cheap and durable.
Single Keeper draws a lot of fire. 4++ isn't very durable.
Eh...the phrase 'daemonettes suck' is a bit strong. I like daemonettes. I think a more accurate assessment would be 'daemonettes suck when compared to fiends'. Of course, nearly everything sucks when compared to fiends. They're fantastic.
If getting fiends is an option (you could always do what I did, and convert them out of chaos spawn) then I'd replace at least some of the daemonettes with either small units plaguebearers or small units of pink horrors w/bolt, cut out the screamers (they're just lame), and use the points to add some fiends to the list.
If that's not an option, I'd at least cut out the screamers and one unit of daemonettes, and use the points/models to increase the number of daemonettes in the remaining units. Personally, I think 15-20 is a good size for them. 10 is just too easy to wipe out through shooting.

No, I did mean what I said Daemonettes are speedy and sport grenades, but they're just too fragile and not killy enough. Not ==My== first pick for a scoring unit. Seekers are worlds better (more attacks, cav movement), and Fiends even moreso.
