    Boon of mutation 1500

    Hi all! This is my first post after a long time, and im thinking on a new funny army to play based arround boon. Sure the list lacks CC and anti-tank is a bit limited due only having bolts arround, think on this list as a funny thing to try out, and even it can get out some good results due the hability to kill any model on a 6.

    8 Horrors with bolt

    What do you think about? what would you swap without reducing the number of boons at the table? remember that 6 is always fail so with 7 boons a turn, 1-2 models will turn into spawn every turn giving me the CC support that i need.

    Against character heavy lists this could work but I don't rate boon too highly.

    HQ: They have 3 shooting attacks (gaze is included for free) so Master of sorcery is needed. I would ditch boon and run them with MoS, Legion and bolt.

    Troops: Bolt is cheap but not too good on a BS3 model that has to shut off 7 of his buddie's shooting to have a go at a tank. Get the changeling on one unit.

    Heavy: Monsterous creatures can make 2 shooting attacks naturally so get another power, gaze or bolt. MoT may be better than iron hide.

    Hi Mad Cat! Thanks for the reply.

    First thing i want to say is that the army must be based arround boon, as i'm planing to build an army of putrefactous zombies and disgusting horrors, and boon was planned to be like a nurgle curse. Then i saw nurgle heralds cant have boon, so i switched to tzeentch but with the same 'feeling' and i will model as nurgle or sewer beings.

    Therefore: Master of sorcery would be nice, i need to calculate if i have points.
    Troops: perhaps to not lose 7 guys i can change 2x8 into 3x5 having one more scoring unit (very fragile) but this way i don't lose too many shots when i shot to a tank (if needed)
    DP's thanks for the input, i need to make room for bolt as it is the best option IMHO (if i have the points). I was planing to run both MoT and Iron but you think it is too much ??? only 4+ will save me?? i could try it.

    Heavy: Daemon Prince, MoT, Boon, Bolt = 170

    Heavy: Daemon Prince, MoT, Boon, Bolt = 170

    Boon is maximised. The troops include a 10 man squad that is useful to protect the changeling and Icon bearer. The princes should be able to survive with a 4+ invulnerable save overall having about the same defensive rate as a 3+ armour save. Adding legion to the chariots could be useful alowing them to split fire or givig them soul devowerers can help with combats but chariots aren't too good in combat at the best of times.

    Oh Thats great and the exact 1500 !! great

    and now i have 8 bolts and 7 boons aside 5 scoring units...

    Unless someone else finds something better im going to buy the models now!! haha
