Hello i'm new to the forum so here gose. Im building my army for mostly fraindly gameing and as a hobby. I'm going for a mechanized army with lots of tanks and transports, I want to have almost every unit to be in a transport. I find walking just takes to long for them to get to the objective and gets my marines shot to peices. Ok so here is the first list I came up with.
HQ Chaos Sorcerer with MoT, Bolt of Chang- 155
Troops Chaos Space Marines 10 man squad With a Aspiring Champion with a powerfist, Icon of Chaos Glory and a flamer and plasma gun. 220 points
Troops Chaos space marines 10 man squad with a Aspiring Champion with a Powerfist, Icon of Chaos Glory and a plasma gun and melta gun. 225 points
Heavy support Predator twin linked lascannon and side sponson heavy bolters and extra armour 150 points
Tottal- 750 points
Thats my core list, I will be steadilly be adding on to it with more units once these are all built and painted. I am going for a mechenized army with transports and lots of armoured vehicals backed up with some plauge marines, koran bezerkers and terminators. After I finish these units off first. Then Im going to add ten bezerkers and a pair of rihnos, bringing the tottal to 1100 pionts tottal.

First off take a look at the history / lore of Red Corsairs and find out what they're really about. Even if it's just reading the Chaos codex and Huron's entry. You'll see what the list is theme'd around and about Huron.
Second, once you've made a post click the view button before posting, double check your spelling and grammar; they make your post more readable and people are more likely to reply.
Now, the list - think about what you want your army to do, how it's going to do it. How you'll handle armor, mass infantry, power weapons etc.
So you're HQ, where is he going? Your troops are 10 strong so he can't join them. He hasn't got a transport or wings, so he's walking? Bad idea, one missile launcher/lascannon shot and a failed invul save later that's 155 to waste.
Other alternatives is to field Huron himself, or perhaps a Daemon Prince with wings which is proven to be much more effective.
Your troop choices, our Chaos marines are a good choice, brilliant allrounders. However when you consider what you want the squad to achieve, you should kit them out with special weapons in that sense. Also if you do decide to field Huron, one needs to be 9 strong for Huron to join it AND fit in a rhino.
Finally the Heavy support. I'm not a fan of predators, but again what do you want it to achieve? Anti tank = Autocannon with lascannon sponsons. Anti infantry = Autocannon with heavy bolter sponsons and perhaps a Havoc Launcher. TL lascannon turret is such an expensive upgrade for a relatively decent turret in the first place. It becomes more points than it can kill and a high priority target for enemy anti-tank.
10 Chaos Marines - 255
*Champ w/Power fist
*2 melta guns
9 Chaos Marines - 235?
*Champ w/power fist
Predator - 100
*Heavy Bolter sponsons
I don't have my codex to hand and can't remember certain prices, but that's a rough idea. You could consider dropping another 2 marines from Hurons squad to upgrade the Predator to an anti-tank variant to give you the ranged support.
Hope this helped

Thanks Chaos elitist I will definitly drop a marine and put the Sorcerer with that squad, this is just a draft i'm still finalizing the list. I did think about useing Huron but I wanted to hold off on him for a while before putting him into the army. I wanted to practice painting some chaos marines before I try painting him, get some practice and see what worked and what didn't. I will add some rhinos over the preditor and see were that leaves me with left over points. If I can get away with it i'll add a small five man squad that can protect my home objective and leave the main force free to attack the enamy. thanks again Chaos elitist.

I am new to this so I was just wondering if I posted this in the wrong place, do the site managers punt threads to the correct place or something? I was just wondering.
