1 Lord of change with master of sorcery, Breath of chaos
1 Great Unclean one
1 Daemon prince with mark of nurgle, iron hide Daemonic flight and breath of chaos
Opinions are greatly appreciated, this is my first daemon army looking for any opinions with this 1000 pts list. Playing mostly against space marines
In smaller games with 3 monstrous creatures, as terriffying as they are, and good at killing, i find they dont work to well. I would get ride of the Lord of Change, i have never actually ran one, but i find for the point cost hes too much.
I would suggest 1 or 2 small squads of Plaguebearers. They are cheap, only 115 pts for 6 with an icon. And they just dont die, Youd be suprised as to how much it takes to actually get ride of the squad.
With your GUO, give him Cloud of flies. Best thing you could give him and its only 5 pts.
With your DP I find that beathe of Chaos isnt very effect. Dont get me wrong, its awesome with flamers, but just the one doesnt seem to fit for me.
You could try something like this:
GUO: cloud of flies
2x 5 plaguebearers icons
DP: MoN, Hide, Flight
this is 10 pts over the limit.
Hope this helps
With the Orks, we have a saying: 'Boyz before toyz'. What we mean, and which applies here, is you need a good number of models on the table before you buy expensive units and upgrades.
The Lord of Change is overkill at this point level, as is ironhide and breath of chaos on the DP of nurgle. Instead of a Lord of Change, for the same number of points, I'd field 2 daemon princes of tzeentch with bolt. On the dp of nurgle, drop both ironhide and breath, and instead give him noxious touch and cloud of flies. Both breath and ironhide are good at higher point levels, but you don't have the points to spare here. The Great Unclean one needs cloud of flies, but otherwise he's fine.
An icon isn't necessary at this point level. Honestly, I only usually use them in team games, where the board fills up quickly.
Instead of nurglings, which can't claim objectives, I agree with Athara that you need plaguebearers. Drop the nurglings, and take the points from dropping the upgrades above, and field a unit of plaguebearers.
Here's my version of your list:
Great Unclean One w/cloud of flies
Daemon Prince of Tzeentch w/bolt
Daemon Prince of Tzeentch w/bolt
Daemon Prince of Nurgle w/flight, noxious touch, cloud of flies
7 Plaguebearers w/instrument
At what point value for a game would you recommend using a Lord of change, i love this daemon with all the upgrade for shooting.
Well that depends, do you want to use him and the GUO, then i would suggest over 1500. if you want just him and not the GUO you might be able to get him to work in 1000 pts. But if you field him, he will be shot down pretty fast, Ive noticed this when i played a Bloodthirster in smaller games. The GUO has a lot more survivability compared to the other greater daemons, can has noxious touch for free, and hes the cheepest of all the Greater Daemons.
But if you do run with The Lord Of Change, Have him come in on the second wave, there fore you`ll have had a chance to charge units in, and distrupt his heavy weapons.
I'd say the minimum is 1500 (and only if he's your only greater daemon), and a good sized list to have him in is 2000+. He works best when you have at least 3 monstrous creatures, soul grinders, or units of bloodcrushers besides him. Otherwise he'll draw too much fire and die.

Spambot kill tally. . .337
You should never use a lord of change. You should take fateweaver. And only in games of 1750+.
Eldar -APOC- 6500 Points
Chaos Daemons -Fate Crusher- 3500 Points
Grey knights - 1000 Points
