The Possessed can start the game in the Land Raider, right?
My idea was that only the Land Raider with Possessed inside, the Rhino with the Berzerkers, the CSM and the 3 Obliterators are getting deployed, which will let the rest of the army Deep Strike. But I don't know if they will survive long enough to let the rest of the army in.
There's a total of 3 Icons though only 2 are deployed so Deep Striking could happen without big risks.
There's a total of 3 Aspiring Champions for the Greater Daemon to choose from, where I mostly saw the Aspiring Champion from the constantly moving CSM squad being possessed by the Greater Daemon.
What do you think? Have I missed anything?
Firstly, I expect to see this moved to the army lists forum.
For the list, I would get at least 1 more rhino, and drop the possessed, to replace them with one more troop choice, as in objective games you will be lacking in units to capture them. Also, possessed aren't that good, and you need more small arms.
Also, I wouldn't bother with the plasma pistol in the berzerkers, and if I could scrape the points from elsewhere, I would give them a fist, for close combat punch, and effect against vehicles (in which case you should drop the melta bombs).
Yes of course, didn't see the army lists forum. Why another Rhino?
It's just that I've converted the Possessed so I would like to use them after all the hard work hehe, are they that bad?
Yes I was afraid that I made too made specific-task units. If I played a game without objectives except killing the enemy, then wouldn't this list be alright?
Ok, will see I can get some powerfists in the Berzerker and CSM squad.
Thanks for your input.
On another look other your list, a second rhino may not be necessary if you want to get full firepower out of the CSMs, but they will be less mobile without one, and they do have other uses, like a mobile wall. Especially as you are tailoring this force to annihilate missions, and you aren't leaving a unit behind on an objective, then mobility will be important. Also, if a unit fires its lascannon at your rhino, then 8 bolters are leaving alone your unit capable of more damage.
Yep these first games of mine will only be Annihilate missions. I don't quite understand your last sentence about the 8 bolters.
Basically, as a squad can't split its fire, when an enemy shoots at a rhino, they are doing you a favour, as the rest of their squad isn't hurting your more valuable and effective units. In the case of a SM tactical squad, this is usually 8 bolters missing the oppurtunity to fire (2 special weapons).
