Hi there, first post here, i'd like to have your comments/advices on my list. I only play with friends but try to be competitive, i have many different foes...

Here's my vicious Slaanesh worshipers horde:

HQ:
1 demon prince 155
(wings, mark of slaanesh, lash)

Elites:
6 terminators 255
(1 champion/powerfist/meltacombi; 2 pairs of ligthning claws; 1 slaanesh icon; 1 chainfist)

1 dreadnought 105
(multimelta; heavy flamer)

Troops:
6 noise marines 185
(1 blastmaster; 5 sonic blasters)

6 noise marines 185
(1 blastmaster; 5 sonic blasters)

6 marines 150
(aspiring champ/powerfist; 1 meltagun; glory icon)
Rhino 35

10 demons 130

Support:
2 oblits 150
2 oblits 150

So here's the thing: i've got quite a lot of firepower with the noisy marines, able to quickly shut down light infantry, a good number of anti tank weapons, and a quite punchy groups of CC specialists. I think that could work. A pretty similar list worked quite well against eldars and dark eldars, but i was maybe lacking of troops able to take objectives, and powerfists to kill those wraithlords...
My point is to align many differents moderate threats, such as drednought, termis, oblits and noise, which can all do a big amount of damage long distance, and in close. obvioulsy even a tau force cannot blast down all my guys in 1 or 2 turns, and i can hit back hard, and defend quite well in close. Seems nice on the paper but heh, what do you think of it?

not too bad, but i would drop the terms, they do not have good synergy and are hard to get where you need or want them. also drop the demons to fill out the 6 CSM to a full squad of 10, add a defiler or a vindicator, or even more oblits. consider rhinos even for your noise marines, they can walk and fire to good effect, or you can move 6" and still fire your assault 3 blast master, or choose not to move and pie plate with it. this is the only time i would recommend a havoc launcher on a their rhinos

Hi, thank your for your advices;
You gave me good thoughts about my list. Although i'm sure defilers and vindicators are very viable units, i don't really like big tanks and ordnance weapons. don't get me wrong, they're great, but i'm trying to get a list of mostly little elites squads, with a strictly defined role, and i love terminators...Anyway, i've made some changes, trying to split even more my points with cost effective elite units, and i think this composition should be more viable. i liked the havoc idea on the rhinos as you will see. my terminators are now 2 squads of five men, 1 is dedicated to CC will quite a few options and icon, i think my army needs that kind of unit, and i don't want to add berserks(not very slaanesh like...) and unfortunately possessed are lame. the other five are a classic combo with 4 plasma combi and a heavy flamer, able to teleport and shoot a costly elite ennemy unit, and still be quite dangerous in close. i've dropped an oblits to free these points, i've added havoc launchers on the rhinos to support the noisy, and the rest is pretty muche the same. This army will (i hope) be able to advance carefully with the rhinos, the demaon prince, the oblits and the dred, and position to fire up tanks and squads, while the termis and deamons will teleport and try to engage what they can kill easily. deamons are mostly defensive, acting as shields for the noise marines. i think they're a pretty good unit, and they even count as troops for the obj. let's see what you think about that:

HQ:
Demon prince 155
(lash,wings,MoS)

Elites
5 terminators 175
(4 combi-plasma, 1 heavy flamer)

5 terminators 215
(IoS, 2 pairs of lightning claws, 2 chainfists)

Dreadnought 105
(multi-melta and heavy flamer)

Troops
8 noise marines 235
(personnal icon, 6 sonic blasters, blastmaster)
Rhino with havoc launcher 50

6 noise marines 185
(5 sonic blasters, blastmaster)
Rhino with havoc launcher 50

8 demons 104

Support
1 oblit 75
1 oblit 75
1 oblit 75

Total 1499

I there, I am the fluff police. You seem to be using an illegal squad number for your Slaanesh Cult troops. This is a warning, make necessary changes immediately. That is all.

still do not like the terms, they can not score and you give up too much to get them, to have those 2 units of non scoring units that either have to walk, may not even get to where they can be useful or assault, or they can deepstrike, but are not likely to show up till after the 3rd turn and will not be able to assault until the turn after any ways. but you are the one that has to live with your decisions, i am just warning you that they are more expensive in what you can not buy to have them than in what they cost.

troops are what win games for chaos
