me and my brother are going to have a 500 point battle his list is
overlord-phaeron res orb
10 imortals-gauss blaster
i was thinking this for a chaos list
lord-term armor dual claws-130
4 terminators-dual claws x3 reaper cannon-175
5 csm-ac 90 rhino 35
I'd go somewhere else other than Terminator armour in that small of a list. You're outnumbed and outgunned, your only hope of victory would be close combat, and the Terminators either have to footslog across the board to enter it, weathering a whole crapload of firing to do so, and if you deepstrike, you risk mishapping or you get rapid-fire gunned down to death. For a list that small, you also don't need Aspiring Champions, they're useful really only as a platform for power weapons and fists.
I'd double up on the rhino, switch the two groups of 5 CSMs for two groups of 7 Khorne Berserkers and toss in a daemon prince with wings. That gives you 494 points, so you could also add a twin-linked bolter to one of the rhinos. You'll seriously increase you CC power, your mobility, and even things a bit with regards to him bringing that annihilation barge.
Tactics wise, rush the rhinos at his Immortals (I assume he'll put the overlord and maybe the cryptek there) and assault them with BOTH SQUADS of Berzerkers to tie him up. Meanwhile, advance the Daemon Prince behind the rhinos to give him a cover save, then send him in to help finish off the Immortals and the two HQ. Once that group is gone, there goes the majority of his list, so send the remaining Berzerkers after the Warriors and the Prince after the barge.
Just remember, don't split your forces until you've destroyed the Immortals and the Overlord. Even if he splits his army up and tries to taunt you into splitting, concentrate your forces on those guys. They're the biggest threat and the largest portion of his army, and if you can get into CC with them, your higher initiative, ton of attacks and higher strength (on the charge) should do a lot of damage. Not to mention his shooting advantage is nullified once you're in close combat. Finally, while rushing up, keep your Rhinos and Prince together but more than 6" apart until the final charge. That way the tesla weapons on his barge won't bounce off and strike the others as well.

I haven't perused the new Neron codex, but if you're facing lots of FNP models (or 3+ armor), then having power weapons on Berzerkers will net you far more kills, point for point.
Spambot kill tally. . .337
Yep, completely in agreement.
Side: What's the save for warriors? 4+?
Spambot kill tally. . .337
Yup. Same stat line as a Marine except for 4+ save and an Initiative of 2.
