    Thousand Sons and Slannesh Raptors 1750

    Will I be dead so soon......need so insight!

    HQ:


    Chaos Lord + Mark of Slannesh + Daemon weapon + Personal Icon + Wings = 160 points#( go with Raptors)


    Chaos Sorcerer + Mark of Tzeentch + Familiar + Bolt of Change + Warp Time = 175 points#(go with 8-man Thousand Sons squad)


    Troops:


    7 x Thousand Sons + Aspiring Sorcerer + Bolt of Change + Personal Icon = 251 points#
    Dedicated transport: Chaos Rhino + extra armour + pinto-mounted combi-melta = 60 points#


    8 x Thousand Sons + Aspiring Sorcerer + Bolt of Change = 269 points#
    Dedicated transport: Chaos Rhino + extra armour + pinto-mounted combi-melta = 60 points#

    I'm not sure your Raptors are as effecient as can be. Why would you add a powerfist to a champion thats beniftting from a slaanesh icon? Perhaps a power weapon would be better. Also what role does Raptor's perform? Im going To assume that there Anti-Tank, since the Troops and Elites in your army seem to be kitted for Anti-infantry. If the Raptors are Anti Tank, Then you Should Drop the Icon and the Lord.

    Heres 2 Set ups I think you should aim for,
    Raptors for Anti infantry
    Slaanesh Icon,
    Power weapon
    Maybe a flamer
    Add your Slaanesh Lord

    Raptors for Anti Tank
    2 meltas
    Powerfist
    Maybe a Nurgle or Tzeetch icon
    No Lord

    I'm at work so i cant give you Points cost. Also get a 2nd opinion from a more expericed LO member.

    I Personally Have 8 Raptors with 2 Meltas and Power Weapon (Like being prepared), I have Metla Bombs on stand by, If the new codex favors melta bombs then I'll add in less then 5 min

    Thanks for your comment! I run MoS on Raptors because the I bonus is gonna be obvious when facing MEQ army in CC. When I chose the power fist because I already got the lord to do my job at I6 so I need a S8 in close combat attack that can hide behind the other squad members and doesn't get picked off like most IC. Meltaguns is planed to pop open some transports and then assault whatever inside. Since I don't really have a choice if I mainly want to stick with Thousand Sons theme and one team of Slannesh believers as a supporting unit, I will consider my TS squad with BoC is "multi-purposes " not only anti-infantry. My plan is to run all of them forward to put some pressure to my opponent with termies reserve, Raptors and lord hide behind some cover and go as far as they can. Then deep strike termies within 6" of my lord to reinforce the tiny 6 man jumping squad.
