My current Black Legion army does pretty well. About 6 wins so far, no losses. But I can't help but notice that a number of my units don't do any work at all, leaving the others to pick up their slack. So I've recreated my list sans the freeloaders (I'm lookin at you raptors!) and tossed a squad of berserkers in their stead. Lemme know what you think.
Daemon Prince (dark blade, ccw, daemonic stature, daemonic flight, daemon armor, daemonic aura, mark of chaos undivided, personal icon)
Chosen Terminators x6 (power weapon x4, combi-bolter x4, powerfist x2, reaper-autocannon x2)
Khorne Berserkers x7 [+ champ] (bolt pistol x7, chainaxe x7, mark of khorne, furious charge) [bolt pistol, chainaxe, mark of khorne, furious charge, talisman of burning blood]
CSM x8 (bolter x6, HB, PG)
CSM x7 [+ champ] (bolt pistol x7, ccw x7, mark of chaos undivided, icon of chaos, infiltrate) [bolt pistol, power fist, infiltrate, teleport homer]
Predator (twin-linked lascannon, lascannon sponsons, extra armor)
Lemme know what you think. My old list has the defiler equipped with indirect fire (but I didn't use it once as I could always place the defiler with line of sight on most of the field), the normal CSM champ doesn't have a homer and has a power weapon instead of a fist, and I had a squad of 5 raptors plus champion instead of the berserker squad. Lemme know what you think. I believe this list is an improvement.
Personally I like the list, but I would make a couple of minor changes. Firstly, I would drop the daemons, they have never made their points back for me, but that's just my opinion.
With the spare points, you could include another unit of marines, or a rhino for your berserkers!!
My berserkers always come like this:
8 Khorne Beserkers (inc Champ): 274pts
(Mark of Khorne, Chainaxe, Furious Charge, Feel no pain, BP)
Rhino with smoke launchers
This unit should blitz up the centre in the first turn, then launch smoke. Next turn the beserkers can get out and move normally!!

I'd drop the termies. I never take termies in smaller games and very rarely in 1500pt games. Too many pts, rarely kill there worth of units. You'd be better getting a unit of slaanesh possesed with a rhino. Now that's a major cc unit! Will most likely strike 1st and can kill everythin and anything. Give em' d. talons for more fun. Plus it adds to the BL fluff. :cool:
I have to disagree about the daemons. The girls have always won their points back. Last game they tore a carnifex to pieces before consolidating into a squad 4 warriors strong to show them a thing or two in the next assault phase. Is it really worth it to place berserkers in a transport at all? They'll be forced to disembark and move 6+d6 towards the nearest enemy, making the transport useless. Especially true since their champion has a talisman of burning blood. As for the terminators, I may take away their powerfists. Or maybe not now that they'll see a bit more CC action with the teleport homer on the infiltrating squad .
Edit: Oh, and possessed can't take veteran skills.
