Okay, I'm finalising my lists for an upcoming local tournament, and I was wondering if anyone has any comments to make on the following:
400 Point Combat Patrol:
7x Plague Marines 2x Plasma Gun w asp. champ w/ p.fist, bolter, mutation, nurgle's rot, d.visage= 185
7x Plague Marines 2x Plasma Gun w asp. champ w/ p.fist, bolter, mutation, nurgle's rot, d.visage = 185
3x Nurglings = 30
1200 Point Army:
Dread w/ TL Lascannon, D. Posession, Smoke Launchers = 148 pts
Lord w/ MoN, Termy Armour, Nurgle's Rot, Manreaper, D. Strength, Spiky Bits, D. Mut, D. Essence = 150 pts
3x 7 Plague Marines 2 Plasma Gun w asp. champ w/ p.fist, bolter, mutation, nurgle's rot = 549 pts
2x 3 Nurglings and 1x 4 Nurglings = 100 pts (Hooray for splitting targets!)
7 Posessed w/Talons and MoN w asp. champ w/p.fist, bolter, mutation, nurgle's rot, d.visage = 253 pts (counter-assaults their heavy-hitters)
Total = 1200 pts
They are bith pretty good. But im not a bit fan of d. visage unless you fight against alot of low Ld troops. But other than that, not bad.

Daemonic Visage is only included because I wanted to fill a few extra points. Sure, it's probably not worth it, but it's one of the cheapest abilities in the book and -1 LD for only 2 points is a pretty good deal if you happen to wind up against non-fearless armies.Originally Posted by warrior poet
How well do the Nurglings work for you? I'm not very fond of them myself, but that's just because I prefer things that can keep up with my troops. I suppose they'd work great if the enemy came to you.
Regarding the Possessed in the 1200 point list, the Champion won't be able to take the Powerfist/pistol combo due to the Talons. (Talons prevent the use of any other weapon). Shouldn't be a big deal, anyways, as Rending should be able to topple any high toughness issues you come across.
I don't believe that a Lord should be given Essence - if he's in CC, with a minimum of six power weapon attacks he should easily clear enough wounds to save any counter attacks, and if he's getting shot at that much, you're already doing something wrong.
Where's your anti-tank in the 1200 list? Powerfists would be fine, except you have no mobility. Four turns on average to clear the distance, assuming their tanks don't move. That's far too much time.
