    Iron Warriors you say he?
Drop the Vindicator, it will get killed, and go with either a Basilisk with IF or 2 more Obliterators (hint, hint)

    hope that helped.
BUt saying what your up against and what tables you play would help.

I often battle a horde based iron warriors army and nids and imperial guard and a horde black legion
Does that justify the vindy yet?

    yes it does :devilish grin
    That's a completly legal argument.
You might drop the leiutenant (NO NOT MY LUEIT!!!!:p) for more marines.
I like the list. And the Obliterator is a nice add-on, not too much people expect Obliterators in such small games.
    *note: Blast away!

I like your suggestions Wulfbanes but onodera is sort of right
If i didn't have to take him i'd drop him in a second but #sigh# G.W. has made the "At least one H.Q." compulsary.
ah well any other comments appreciated!

NOTE: On my table (Indirect fire or not) a basalisk would be pwned unless its a 1500+ game in which case we use a larger table!

You could drop one marine and the Daemonic visage in favour of two plasmaguns in he bolter squad. That ought to be good against the hordes you mentioned.

    or toss heavy bolters in.

btw. If your play patrol with the force, you don't need the HQ ^_^

Small game take 2 obliterators instead of the vindicator. use the 3 oblits as seperate units so that you can control fire lanes while advancing your 2 squads of marines. drop the LT, add small unit of CC marines with Aspiring champion. Aspiring champion is your leader.
    40K-Beakies(9-14-4),Guard(4-7-2),Orks(34-12-11). FANTASY-Dwarves(15-6-7),Beasts (14-14-1), Skaven (17-17-10) DoC (6-1-2). CYGNAR (28-15-1)

mouse no offense but i have allready mentioned why i take the vindy (i'm assuming you don't know this)
    i'll tell you again then:
my other Iron warriors buddy only buys troops with his main force he ussually has around 30+ marines in one 500 point battle and i also play nids, I.G. and a horde black legion 20+ marines at least and on rare occasions a marine army (yet again troop based)

NOTE:mouse i don't think you can take aspiring champs as H.Q. unless greater daemon exists (sort of) but iron warriors can't have G. daemons in the first place Please make sure you know what your saying before you post
