    [1000] chaos Iron warriors (tournament)

    For quite a while now, my friend and I are trying out a duo list IW- Speed Freek. this is our current list for the tournament. Any suggestions are welcome

    You army looks sufficient to deal serious damage at range. My only comment would be to find points to give your plasma troop squads infiltrate. This will help to distract ranged fire away from the assaulting orks and ensure your plasma guns will fire the first round.

    The IW list has a few errors in it though overall I'd say it's quite a good list if you got rid of the stuff that's making it too many points (if it's a tournament army you have to have the exact points otherwise you count as having been massacred for all your games I think).

    It's 12 points over I think, just take off that extra guy on the second CSM squad and you'll be fine.

    There is one too many obliterators - take off one of them and then thats your elites sorted out.

    !!! Those havocs are pretty amazing! Although they wont be very good vs. power armoured people, against about everything else they'll kill everything, just like havocs should! If you're against power armoured people a lot of the time I would swap them for plasma guns.

    I can't help you with the speed freeks im afraid because I dont have the codex, but from what little knowledge I have gathered about Greenskins, Speed freaks are the best Ork army to go for.

    these squads dont add up correctly. Please make sure you have added all unit costs up correctly. Please note the first squad has six marines and then has five bolters and two plasma, so does it have 6 or 7 marines?

    You have it spot on with the dual plasma.

    you want mutated hull instead of daemonic posseison, drop the smoke launchers, you will only use them if you cant fire and if you cant fire you cant use them.

    There is one too many obliterators - take off one of them and then thats your elites sorted out.
    no theres 3 elites slots and three oblits.

    Yes but theres 140 points of obliterators in elites.

    thanks for the replies! Taking a second look at the my posted list, it was my under construction list, not my finished one. so I retyped it above. As for the obliterators true it is only having the option to take two squads of them, as a duo army doesn't allow you to go over two same units that aren't troop choices.
