    [1000] Emperor's Children (Shooty)

Emperors Children 1000 points- 3 Gatekeepers defence force, 3rd Berrossus Conflict

    HQ
    Lieutenant Red -120pts
MoS, Kai Gun, Power Weapon, Daemonic Strength, Daemonic Aura

    Troops
    Robeya, Aspiring Champion -34pts
    Mos, Power Weapon, Daemonic Strength

    5 Slanneshi Marines -120pts
    MoS, Sonic Blasters, Daemonic Icon

    Elio, Aspiring Champion -34pts
    MoS, Power Fist

    5 Slaaneshi Marines -120pts
MoS, Bolt pistols, close combat weapons, Daemonic Icon

    6 daemonettes -90pts

    Fast Attack
    Jonny No-Eyes, Aspiring Champion -74pts
MoS, Daemonic Strength, Daemonic mutation, meltabombs, Space Marine Bike

    2 Slaaneshi Bikers -78pts

    Heavy Support
    Isrra, Aspiring Champion -42pts
MoS, Sonic Blaster, Power Fist, Tank Hunter Veteran Skill

    5 Slaaneshi Havocs-180pts
MoS, 2 Sonic Blasters, 3 Blastmasters, Tank Hunter Veteran Skill

    Chaos Predator "Pax Disconicus" -135pts
Turret-mounted Twin linked Lascannon, Heavy Bolter Sponsons, Extra Armour

    Total=1000points exactly

This is a very defensive list, ideal for hiding as far away as possible while whittling down the enemy numbers.
The bikes are there as a counter-attack, but may need to attempt suicide missions against certain enemies (such as Guard w/basilisks, in which case I'd give them a special weapon or 2)
The daemonettes will also help fill this role but with a shorter range, as will Elio's squad and possibly Red with his power sword if things get desparate.
That would leave Robeya, the havocs, the predator and Red to gun everything down while it came to me, with the counter-attack element running forward once the enemy is about to charge me.
While I admit that this element is larger than it may have been, the list is geared around what I already have made so I was slightly limited in terms of flexibility.
So, any comments would be appreciated, regardless of how vague or trivial.

There should be another EC list of mine appearing somewhere soon.

Your c.c. E.C. build is much better. This configuration simply does not have alot of punch for your buck. You really need more noise marines and less bulky units (such as the bikes). I'm going to suggest that you drop the bikes entirely and the daemonettes. If this is a defensive army, then daemonettes become a little difficult. Here's why: Any vehicle you want to throw these girls at will usually stay at range, thus requiring your to advance towards it. With your lack of c.c. troops, you will have a hard time reaching your opponent's vehicles. You would have to use your bikes, and having only 3 will not ensure you a successful daemon summoning in a range that allow for tank-popping those vehicles in the distance. At any rate, if you drop your bikes and your daemonettes, you can sqeeze out another noise marine squad.

Nice cheap h.q. You can get away without d. aura, if the you plan on sticking him close to one of your troop squads. Personally, adding c.c. weapons onto a kai gun model is usually placing too many good weapons on a model that can only use one at a time; but that said, you can probably get away with this.

No sonic blaster on your a.c.? If anything you should give him the blaster and leave one of your basic marines with a bolter, because this will allow you to take a casualty without losing a sonic blaster. If you're leaving your a.c. without a blaster, so he can take a bolt pistol, well, that not a bad idea; but your build, you should be able to chew away at your enemy at range, so by the time he gets to you, there are just scraps of units remaining.

Finally, upgrade one noise marine to a blastmaster. This will give the squad a little flexibility in case they need to tank pop.

You a.c. needs a power weapon. Squads this small are hard to keep alive, but they will help to preserve the rest of your army. Still, there simply are not enough models here to be more than an annoyance to your opponent. Like I said earlier, you should consider dropping the unit altogether.

A.C.- Drop the power fist. This is a defensive squad, and though they will undoubtedly get into c.c. you would benefit more from having a 4th heavy weapon.

Troops- In a 1000 points, the 4th really makes a difference. Also, a 1000 point game really needs to have a unit that can manage both the swarm and vehicles. And while the blastmaster fills both these rolls, there's a weapon out there that does it even better- the autocannon w/ tank hunter. Just a thought.

Really needs daemonic possession. This upgrade increases its staying power by a large degree.
