I´ve been going back and forth with what type of army I´d like to do. I´ve been pondering over some fluff and stuff and I´ve come to the conclusion that I wan´t to do RED CORSAIRS!
so here´s what I was thinking about:
close combat weapons
7 plague marines
2 plasma guns
close combat weapons
1 melta gun
TOTAL: 999 pts
Well as you can see this is an infiltrating army. Everybody except the Lieutenant and the raptors infiltrate.
*The lascannon squad tries to get a good shot of a tank.
*The lieutenant uses his superb speed to make sure he isn´t the closest target or stays in cover and picks off good guys with his kai gun, also if he happens to be near a tank he has the option of meltabombing it.
*The plaguemarines march up and try to get close to the enemy and into close combat without being the chargers though.
*The meltagun/BP & CCW squad runs up to get into closr combat and to take out tanks.
*The raptors burst out with super speed and eat up everything
Well how do you like it guys? comments? suggetions?
I´ll write some fluff for them once I get the list in order

What is better than winning the gold medal in the "Servitor olympics"?

Well, a few things on this guy. There is no reason for the CCW, as the Kai Gun is a two handed weapon. Also, Daemonic Speed goes horribly with a shooty HQ, since it relies on using the shooting phase and charging into combat to gain ground quickly. If you plan on shooting the Kai Gun, you're still stuck with your normal 6" movement, which means you wasted points on Speed. Daemonic Flight would be a much better choice.Originally Posted by LightningclawsVery nice. Drop the Plasma Pistol and replace it with another Meltagun. There is really no reason to ever take a Plasma Pistol when Meltaguns are avaliable to you. Otherwise, they're good, and should do you fine. The squad size is a bit large for me, but I'd rather see them larger than normal rather than smaller.Originally Posted by LightningclawsWonderful squad - expect great things from them.Originally Posted by LightningclawsFair. You probably don't need the extra two marines - how many wounds do you really need protecting a Lascannon anyways?Originally Posted by LightningclawsVery nice, though you should drop a second Meltagun into the squad. One is a good start, but there are plenty of times when you will want and need the second Meltagun for backup.Originally Posted by LightningclawsThat's really a pity - the Raptors should be the ones infiltrating if anyone. With good placement, you can get them into combat on turn one. With poor placement, you can get a destroyed tank on turn one.Originally Posted by Lightningclaws
