2000 points I believe
My plan should be obvious but just in case... I intend to turbo boost my bikes and try to unload daemonettes on 1 squad before shooting and assaulting another squad in the next turn. The raptors will infiltrate in and do some hit and run action and blow up a tank if they can.
My bloodletters will hopefully be summoned in by my raptors but can come from the berzerkers if that is more advantageous. The berzerkers will be charging right up the middle.
The lord will infiltrate with the plague marines off to one flank, and then use his speed to charge ahead while the pm's attempt to advance into combat while laying down a little rapid fire.
The defiler will sit behind cover on one side of the board and unload on any juicy targets that arent too close to my assaulters. The predator will aim at heavy armor while my havocs aim at lighter armor and then infantry afterwards.
And the obliterators will probably deepstrike in somewhere to take care of any pesky fast vehicles, defend my defiler, or generally just fill in for whatever I didnt account for... HB's AC's LC's whatever gun is needed... gotta love em!
As you can see i may be a bit too heavy on the heavy support, but the good news is that I have more bloodletters, daemonettes, and plague marine models to fatten up my squads or add more if need be... Also, I have cypher and a squad of fallen to use as well which should be arriving soon. I'm also willing to purchase new models if anyone has any ideas on what would compliment this army best! If I was to do anything at this point I'd drop the predator since hopefully it will be the only armor visible, then add more demons.
Im going to be fighitng Smurfs, IG, and Tau mainly. Thanks in advance for any feedback!

Your Lord is lacking an invulnerable save. I suggest either dropping it to a Lt., or adding D. Aura. Or both if you wish.Nurgle Lord 130
manreaper, d. strength, d. speedIf you wanted, you could drop MoCU, and add Infiltrate to the squad. That way they can get into a good fireing position, but its up to you.Havocs x8 224

I like the suggestion of infiltrating the havocs, the cover save and better positioning that will be possible should give a better advantage then MoCU.
Does my lord really need an invuln save though? They arent cheap and I shouldnt be hit back too many times in cc since he's using my manreaper and will usually have initiative. I'm figuring that by the time he breaks an enemy unit, I'll have my plague marines near enough that he wont be shot at as an IC.
Also, I was thinking that my oblits could probably serve my anti heavy armor function so I was thinking I'd drop my predator and add 2 plague marines, 2 daemonettes, and 2 bloodletters to get more use out of that 125 points.
Since I play DG, I know the down sides of the Manreaper. It has a tendancy to wipe out units and if you do so on your turn, he's going to be a sitting duck. DG are tough, but not when you're looking down the barrel of a few plasma guns.Originally Posted by BadTanLine829
So does anyone see any deficiencies in my list? or any problem with lack of troops or opinions on swapping the pred to add in 2 pm's, 2 bloodletters, 2 daemonettes?
Also, I'm trying to think of how I would use cypher since he's nice in CC but cant move fast. I was thinking about giving the fallen all cc+bp's and perhaps mounting them in a rhino or slogging them behind the berzerkers... but I dont know if you even could mount cypher and the fallen in a rhino.
So any suggestions at all would be a help... and I'm not necessarily looking to just make small refinements on this one. Are there any units that don't seem to fit that could be replaced by something else? Suggestions for the most drastic of changes are welcome, as I have lots of chaos models.
I thikn that's a good idea. As of now, your troops are currently in small squads, so adding 2 more could help.So does anyone see any deficiencies in my list? or any problem with lack of troops or opinions on swapping the pred to add in 2 pm's, 2 bloodletters, 2 daemonettes?
You can't take Khorne units with a Nurgle lord. Check out ancient enemies rule on page 38.
Quote 'An army led by a character with the Mark of Khorne cannot conatin any units or characters with the Mark of Slaanesh, Daemons or Slaanesh, or vehicles dedicated to Slaanesh.' etc etc.
so sorry but your lists illegal.
Why does no one read their codex?
I'm sorry but I think its you who needs to read their codex... In the most current codex a nurgle lord may not take units with the mark of tzeench only. But please lets not get into this, I just want some helpful feedback!
Bad Tan is right. Its Korne vs. Slaneesh, and Tzeench vs. Nurgle.
Thats a damn nice list. Very balanced.
Do you really want to have your berzerkers slog across the map? It will take them 3 or 4 turns to get to your opponents deployment zone.
Your deamonettes squad is pretty small. If your gonna spend all those points on slaneesh bikes (Which are pretty cool with those sonic bolters) you could take a few more deamons to summon.
You got a lot of infultrating stuff, I'd like to hear if you can pull off a good showing on an Alpha mission.
Also personally, I friggin hate taking Autocannons.
Thanks for the feedback, Steven!
The only reason I thought I'd get away with summoning such a small number of daemonettes is that I'll mainly be fighting Tau or IG. I have the models to bulk them up though and I'm thinking I'll up it to 8 models.
As for the berzerkers, you have a good point. With the ToBB they will move a little faster than other foot sloggers but not much. They will draw a lot of fire and be slow to catch up with the raptors/bikers/plague marines/demons. Maybe I should drop them... but I need some good assault power to fill that void. I'll have to think on that. Its a shame not to use my nicely painted zerkers though!
And autocannons... whats not to love? =)
