Totally fine, nothing else is needed

    x7 CSM's-147
    -x1 Plasma gun
    -x5 Bolters
    -x1 Asp champ/ Power fist+BP
The problem her is you've got a mixed squad, bolters and plasmaguns are for shooting, aspiring champion with a powerfist is for cc, decide which you want it to be for and go with it.

    Shooty
    7 chaos space marines
    2x plasmaguns
    118

    cc
    6 chaos space marines
    mark of chaos undivided
    2x meltaguns
    aspiring champion
    powerfist
    boltpistol
    153

    Vindicator-128
    -Smoke launchers
Smoke launchers aren't really an effective choice, my prefference would be for mutated hull, or for similar points extra armour.

I personally would go for the 2nd shooting squad, attach the lieutenant with the kaigun and you have a very effective anti-meq unit, then i'd swap smoke launchers on your vindicator for mutated hull, this would leave you 2 points under the points limit

I have to disagree that an Aspiring champion with an powerfist is strictly for offensive CC.
Well yes, its for CC, but if you don't give that squad some sort of fight back, they will get chewed up when assaulted. Hidden powerfist is great for offence and defense. Those plasma guns will keep the oponents hurtin, and the power fist will make em think twice about assaulting.

I think the 500 list that the donut has is just fine the way it was.

Smoke launchers are an excellent choice, since first turn he will most likely be wheeling it up 12 inches to get it in range and then pop smoke as EVERYTHING the oponent has unloads into it. Although I think if you could, a predator(autocannon + HB sponsons) would serve you better for the same points cost.

as far as im concerned the list is pretty much ok.. it should be able to deal with pretty much any other 500 point list

Looks like a good list to me. You have efficant firepower against vehiclces and infantry, and you can hold yourself in assault.

    Goodlist.

    Cheers!

Like tthe List but as for The CC option I would Say yes its a must especially with assaulting armies. With tanks being fielded with 13+ front Armour meltaguns is a good options with your close combat squad.

This is no problem at all. Since powerfists always strike last, it won't matter is you get the assault or not.

    Great list.

Yea. The powerfist is basically in there to prevent the unit from getting completelly raped in combat. For 38 points, (PF plus aspiring champion upgrade.) you get 3 strength 8 attack's that ignore armor saves. Seems pretty good to me. And yes, I could get a mutated hull for thoughs points. But In 500 points, the enemey might have 3 lascannons. (That's alot for 500 but maybe Guard) I hide it behind terrain the first turn, and then I move it out and pop smoke. Next turn I move it up and blast the crap out of the enemy with a strength 10 ap 2 weapon!!!!! wooot :w00t:

    Thanks all

Well with powerfists nearly the same cost as IG you cannot go wrong.
