    [1500] World Eaters GT army

    Hi everyone,

    Here's my new list. I use spawns in this list for the extra wounds (they need to inflict 6 wounds to bring my squad below half strength, it says in the codex that followers become part of the squad, so they will count their wounds to the total number of wounds of the squad), this wil give me a better chance at more scoring units. Also, they will be the first ones to die, but their T5 makes them pretty hard! I nicked this tactic from the throne of blood.

    Since this is world eaters, every model MUST be dedicated to khorne. Spawn are not dedicated and so I believe cannot be taken.
    And, the chaos spawn with the berzerkers is not a good idea. They will negate the blood rage ability, since they are not dedicated to khorne or have blood rage. It will slow your berzerkers AND make the talisman of boiling blood useless.

    i dont really know bout the auto cannon las sponson pred as you still cant move and fire all your weapons i would maybe take a dread with 2 heavy flamers 2 close combat weapons dedicated to khorne and smoke launchers for 3 less points and i tihnk for khorne it would be fluffyer and just plain fun as i think that the autocannon pred just is not worth it.

    Well, you are wrong there. Spawn are indeed followers, and so dedication to khorne is not an issue.

    This is the 4 ed FAQ of CSM. It says in there that spawn are affected by blood frenzy (furious charge on the other hand is not possible). So I think they are a bargain for 20 points, the cost of 1 zerker. You get 2 wounds, the same amount of attacks (d6 is on avergae 3,5, which is the same as berzerkers), the same toughness (majority issues), the same save and 2 wounds. The only disadvantage is that if your champion is killed, the spawn dissappears.

    Plus, barely anyone removes their AC till last so you should be fine.

    Not entirely true, if someone does 11 wounds, he can force my champ to take a save, so he could die prematurely. But doing 11 wounds on a marine unit takes a lot of firepower, which keeps my other units allive.

    But what do you think of the list guys, I don't want this topic to evolve in rules questions

    Drop the biker squad for 1 more zerker squad and make the bloodletters 8 strong. If you drop the spawn on all squads you could take all las on the other pred and mayb mutated or parisitic possession.

    If I drop the biker squad, I don't have any mobility, which is not good for a tournie army. The bikers are the ones to summon the letters, otherwise those will be stuck in noman's land on turn 2.

    I thought of the spawn because my zerker squads tend to go below half strenghth pretty soon, and vp's are my main concern.

    I've tried mutated and parasitic, and have found them to be useless for the amounts of points you pay.

    Ã? have these doubts about letters. If I take a squad of 8 (which is fluffy), they usually massacre a squad the turn they charge and are shot to bits next turn. However, my squad of 6 still gets the job done, only he usually take the squad out in my opponents combat phase, which allows me to assault another unit in my turn.

    What are your experiences with this?

    Berserkers are fast, parasitic is cheap and bloodletters will survive the shooting if you play them smart.
