been playing necrons for a while, so would like a bit of feedback with my thousand sons army i want to collect. all is appreciated.
HQ - Daemon Pricne - 225
-MoT, 2xMaster crafted lightning claws, Wind of Chaos, Strength, Resilience, Disk of Tzeentch, Aura, Spikey bits, Melta bombs, personal icon
T - 9x Marines - 281
-Free champ with: Power fist, bolt pistol, mutation, strength, bolt of change, 3xthrall wizard
T - 9xMArines -281
T- 9x Marines - 329
-8x Bolters, one icon, MoT
-Free champ with: Power fist, bolt pistol mutation, strength, wind of chaos, 1x thrall wizard
-Mounted in a rhino with: smoke, armour
FA - 5x Screamers - 75
HS - Predator - 175
1x TL Lascannon, 2x sponson las cannon, havoc launcher, extra armour
HS - Dreadnaught - 133
1x TL lascannon, Smoke, Armour
Total - 1500 on the dot.
NOTE: the icons are intentionaly where they are so that the screamers aren't summoned to far away.

ok drop persinal icon because u get an icon with the mark and i would say drop all the power fists and smoke on the dred..... it would also be smart to take away the havic launcher on the pred and then u should have enough points out of all those reductions to get another pred with twin link las and side hall las
O yea take away the extra armour because its also a point gap that is almost pointless
those would be my only sugestions because u get more fire power and i dont like power fists because they strike last and u dont need them for tank poping when u have 2 preds with las cannons
O yea and those melta bombs are point less on your demon prince becuase he has over 50 points in demon gifts so he is a prine witch means he gets 2D6 armour pen..... so they pointless
But with all my sugestions your should free up quit a bit of points for your list and if u make those changes i told you it will be a mean list have fun....

I don't think your HQ should be attacking armour. He's a MEQ Squad killer. 6 attacks on charge with no armour and wound reroll!! He's got flight, so let him pick his fights.
If you really want him to pop tanks, drop WoC and give him BoC.
Power fists - you're spot on
Shame you can't have more screamers. remember, they're fast and will work well with your marines.
Dreadnought for predator perhaps?

by the way, what does "MEQ" in MEQ squad killer stand for?????
Heh heh, I want to write an FAQ with all these abbreviations in.
MEQ means Marine Equivelant. T4 with a 3+ save. Basically yuo throw wounds at them and they throw them right off.
I missed that you had both spiky bitz an master craft. Hmm.. Normally, i would say that's overkill.. but judging on how i roll dice... The question is, do you feel lucky?
The same goes for dreadnoughts really. I love them, i think they look cool and are absolute beasts in CC Instakilling independant characters left right and centre (another reason not to send Mr HQ against 'em eh?)
However, if you get a bad roll they won'T do what you want, and in worse case scenario they'll nuke one of your own squads.
If you're happy with that risk and your dice rolling ability, then go for it. A predator is simply for that cold steel reliability.
The only other thing is that with a pred you might get more support against swarms o' stuff.

as for the dread, i could gice him a plasma cannon and missle launcher for the same cost he is now??? just hope he doesn't blood rage, coz hell suck in combat.
or maybe ill give the havoc launcher to the dread instead of the pred.
what ever the config is, im sure they're only minor from here.
on the battle field, ill try 2 armies out. one is the one i posted, but the other one replaces my lord with a lieutenant (still has claws and a disk, just not as rock hard.), drops mutation on the space marine squads (2 of em anyway), drops the havoc launcher, and add one...you guessed it!!! pred with autocannon and 2x h.bolters. (and i still keep my dread! yay!)
ill just have to see how they both go.
ps. a score out of 10 maybe for my list?????

Never give a Chaos Dread a Missile Launcher. Chaos Dreads are simply too unpredictable to keep in a single role. The Missile Launcher forces him into a shooting role, which throws away his +1 attack (notice that Chaos Dreads have an extra attack over Loyalist Dreads) and will make him useless in a CC environment. If you want Fire Support, take a Predator.

Here's the thing. You have a slow army. It's unavoidable with 1K Sons. Just something that they live with. But here you have one model that is far faster than the others. One of two things will happen at this point -
A) He'll hang back with the army, wasting all of his talents in CC and short ranged psyker power. Wasted points, and a lot of them.
He'll move ahead of the army to close to the enemy in an attempt to get into CC, at which point he can't claim IC status anymore, and will be blown off the board. Wasted points.
Most 1K Sons Lords are pretty simple. Bolt of Change, a few Thralls, and stuck into a group to make a psuedo, mobile Havoc squad.
