So, in few weeks im going to a tournament close to where i live. Its 1750 and i have come up with this list:
Sorceror Lord (Dark Blade, CCW, Disc of Tzeentch, D.Aura, Bolt of Change, Frag) 172 pts
5 Rubric Terminators 313 pts
1 AC med (chainfist, CCW, Bolt of change)
8 Thousand Sons Marines (Squad 1) 329 pts
1 Aspiring Champion (Powerfist, CCW, Frag Grenades, D.Mutation, 1 Thrall, Wind of chaos, teleport homer)
1 Rhino (Extra armour, smoke)
8 Thousand Sons Marines (Squad 3) 271 pts
1 Aspiring Champion (Power weapon, Bolt Pistol, 3 Thralls, Bolt of change)
7 Flamers + 2 Horrors 195 pts
1 Predator (TL las, sponson las, D.Possession) 165 pts
1 Predator (TL las, sponson heavy bolters) 130 pts
1 Defiler (indirekt fire) 175 pts
HQ: 10 %
Elite: 18 %
Troops: 45 %
38 models (incl vehicles, not incl thralls)
I know that i should probably use a daemon prince, but my disclord is finished and looks great. He provide firesupport and can dish out in CC aswell. He just cant handle avatars, dreads or other big things in CC. The reason for bolt of change on him is that when i take Wind of chaos is that he gets to use it 1 time, bolt of change he can use many turns and get to use his BS5.
But all the psychic powers are changable, if you have a suggestion. I was thinking about giving the walking TS squad doombolt instead of Bolt of change, to dedicate them just to killing infantry.
What do you guys think about the list?
Looks like a pretty chunky list to me, although, kinda lacking in the CC department, which is, totally fluffy of course.
Howabout some wind of Chaoses in there?
Also, you could field a daemon prince if you got rid of the terminators
But i dunno that much about 1k sons dude. Try asking.. anduscassius.. or hotspike or someone.

I'll give you a couple pointers, but take it with a grain of salt. Ok?
I'd exchange all the CCW's you have on your champs and Lord for Bolt Pistols, same effect, more benefits. Make sure to keep your Lord of out sight until he can assault, prolonged fire it enough to do him in.
I'd put mutation on your termi-champ. I'm not sure if you can drop the combi-bolter.....
Drop the frags on the Champ, he's got a powerfist anyway. Keep the bolt on the second sqaud. I might consider switching Wind for Gift on the Rhino squad, I seem to get more mileage out of it.
You may wanna take out the horrors and Daemonic Possession to make room for more terminators.
Anyway, this is just little pointers, and you shouldn't rely on it. Make sure you get a second opinion. Hope this helps.
"If you can wait til I get home, then I swear we can make this last."
Thanks for the answers! The reason for no daemon prince is to raise the composition results. Princes really lower the score.Originally Posted by KarmoonMy thought with this guy is to keep him with the walking TS squad and give supporting fire with his BS5 bolt of change. I used to have wind of chaos on him, but then he would just be passive every turn not doing anything until the assault.Originally Posted by «hôâ€*šÞìkë18»
The lord can only be targetted by shooting if hes the closest target, which he wont be until in charge range. If i can find the points i will try to, making him quite dangerous. In my chaos codex it says(with a *) that models in termie armour can get a CCW.Originally Posted by «hôâ€*šÞìkë18»Frags is an error, he shouldnt have it. Gift of chaos has been on my mind for a while, i will have to give it some testing. Although to get the biggest effect i need to find 10 more points to give him warp focus.Originally Posted by «hôâ€*šÞìkë18»
But its so nice when the WoC hits twice on an expensive terminator unit or something similair.Hmm, i would really like to have a 9-man strong unit of termies, but i also want to fit in as many scoring squads as possible. If i remove the daemons, i loose alot of firepower for 3 more termies. This would also give me roughly 80 points left to spend. The obvious choice would be 5 screamers, but they havent really worked for me. Perhaps sometimes taking/contesting quarters.Originally Posted by «hôâ€*šÞìkë18»
I can instead remove 1 predator and get room for 3 more termies, but i think thats a bad choice.
But removing d.possession isnt an option as its an really good item, and i have converted it on the model. The other pred is more clean with no mutations/daemonic stuff.
Any other thoughts?
