1 predator w/ Tzeentch, T.L. lascannon, and a pair of lascannons
Total: 992pts and 29 models
Beer, Pipes, and Guns... Dwarves had the right idea.
Hey there. So, what psychic powers is the ACs using? they are all sorcerers, so instead of the inferno bolts, why not use the points to grant him doombolt, and a pair of thralls instead. Its like having a heavy bolter, only better! Give him a familiar for an alternate power(gift of chaos) and you're doing pretty good.
As well as the hq, doombolt is used in the shooting phase and I think its a better option than the inferno bolts in most situations, and as such, will be a waste of points. I think thralls and a familiar would be better served for him as well. I've never seen it in action myself, but the talisman might be a bit superfulous too, and you would be better served picking up the familiar and thralls instead.
W/D/L Eleventy trillion billion/NONE/ NONE - I am STILL rulezor!
WINDMILLS DO NOT WORK THAT WAY!
TS is a great army but they act a bit different from the other Chaos/ loyalist marines.
I've enjoyed, and still enjoy, playing them for a while now. They have great shooty squads and great CC-squads but they must be handeled with care.First, in a 100 pts game a Lord is a bit too expensive. You have quite a few wounds already.1 Lord w/ Mo tzeentch, combi-bolterw/ inferno bolts, daemonic resilence, mutation, and Aura, talisman of tzeentch, doombolt (143pts)
Mutation is a good upgrade on a champ, on a Lord with no CC weapons it's not. As he does not benefit from the slow and purpousful-rule he must stay put to use his Combibolter and that's not fun at all, one of the great benefits with the sons is the ability to move and shoot.
Theyak told you about Doombolt and InfernoBolts.
He has no powerweapon, may I ask why?
D.resilience is great if you are in CC, but as he lacks that kind of weapons I'd keep him far from it. In fact I'd remake him completely. Try something like this:
MoT (Mark of Tzeentch)
Terminator Armour (cheaper then D.mut and D.aura, yet it improves your armour aswell)
DarkBlade + CCW
A couple of points cheaper and much more dangerous.Drop the InfernoBolts again, and give one of them Doombolt and the other Bolt of Change. Give both Champs some thralls. If you have points to spare give them Familiar and Gift of Chaos, that will make them truly evil in CC as well as in the Shooting Phase.2 squads of 9 thousand sons w/ Mo tzeentch, Icon and aspiring championw/ infern bolts and powerfist (241pts/squad)
Consider dropping a couple of Rubrics from one of them and put that squad in a rhino. On mobile units Wind of Change combined with Thralls really hurts. Really, really hurts.Great unit.9 flamers (207pts)I assume you with Tzeentch mean the WarpFlame. Now that is a great upgrade...on a dread. You buy this Pred a Daemonic Possession instead. It'll make him keep fiering till he is destroyed.1 predator w/ Tzeentch, T.L. lascannon, and a pair of lascannons
Play a couple of games with the army and try to figure out how they work. TS needs added mobility like no other army, if it's alright with your opponent field the Chosen of Ahriman special HQ-choice from WD 308 (UK) they'll give you a fantasticly mobile army.
