Well, after my Raven Guard army idea fell through the roof (once approaching 1500+ points), I've decided to look upon a new project - the Lost and the Damned. Nobody in my area plays Chaos, so, I figured why not step up and be the evil doers? So, this is my preliminary list.. keep in mind, I do want effectiveness but I also want a slight theme. What that theme is, I don't know.. but I won't want to have what everyone else has, so if I can be effective without having the exact same army as someone else, that'll work.
 Aspiring Champion
+Mark of Khorne (LatD version)
 Obliterator (Allied)
 Mutant Boss
Total Points: 498
Total Models: 37
Overall, I kind of like it.. I wanted to throw a versatile Obliterator in there, 'cause they're cool and all, but that only left me 62 points, so instead of adding more Mutants I just felt like giving them a better armour save, so that I still got one vs. infantry weapons.
1) I would almost rather have the fancy save on the Mutants, as it's relatively cheap and will guard me vs. Bolters, Pulse Rifles, etc. .. I'd rather have a save than not have one, and 4+ isn't bad at all.Originally Posted by Andusciassus
2) I'm not really into Gibbering Hordes all that much..
3) I prefer to keep the Agitator, really, for the extra LD and because I almost don't believe in having squads without some version of squad leader.
Thanks for the advice, but I don't really see how that would help me too much? Besides the extra special/heavy weapons, but I can get around that fairly easily in 500 points.
Ahh LatD in 500 pts is a tricky prospect.
I think I agree with Andusciassus on his sugestion: You have a complication in 500 pts with you traitor squad. You opponent shoots at them, and they're as likely as not to run away.
In a small point game that'll be a big handicap. By taking a few extra bodies for your other compusery FoC slot, you have the freedom to take your traitor squads small. the 2 traitor squads will still run away, but now it's a smaller loss, and a smaller target meaning they're more likely to be ignored.
There are other ways to deal with the situation, but his suggestion is as sensible as any. Alternitivly you can play as is, it's not bad for a 500 pt list. There is a good chance that the mutants are going to draw the fire, keeping your traitors out of hot water.
Votewar MKV 2nd place. . .
Back from internet limbo, and glad to be here.
