Want to see what people think of my LatD army list, it is dedicated to Nurgle, the idea is the Leuitenant, the MoN CSM squad and Spawns march forward towards the enemy, unleashing the plaguebearers on them(i dont think there very good but fit the fluff), the traitors would either advance with the main line or stay back, depending on what sort of scenario i was playing, the two Russ' would go down the flanks causing chaos!!
Manreaper, Daemonic Mutation, Daemonic Strength, Mark of Nurgle
Chaos Space Marine Squad
Seven Strong, Mark of Nurgle, Bolt Pistols and Close Combat Weapons, Two Meltaguns, Aspiring Champion with Daemonic Strength and Power Weapon, Daemon Icon
Hull mounted Lascannon
Hull mounted Lascannon
Total= 995 points
First of all is the army legal, the way you mix and match units is a bit confusing although i think i've got it right,
Secondly, what can i change to improve it, this army will be built with city fight in mind using the new CoD rules,
Thanks in advance,
Hey there DhSmed, here's my thoughts on your list.Hey so, I would reccomend an invulnerable save in the form of Daemonic Aura. Otherwise he's just going to evaporate the moment he faces a powerfist. I would drop the mutation to accomplish this.Originally Posted by DjSmed
The manreaper is a powerful weapon, but I think it should be left off until higher points games. A pair of lightning claws would be a better choice since it costs the same and doesn't take up the precious daemonic gifts limit.I highly suggest switching out the daemonic strength and power weapon for a powerfist, same cost far more effective. If you MUST strike on initiative, use a plaguesword(not as effective all the time, but against high toughness things it is awesome)Originally Posted by DjSmedPlague bearers are very rarely worth their points, they just aren't one of the better choices for daemons. I would even consider nurglings before them.Originally Posted by DjSmedWhy not purchase a pair of aspiring champions for one of your HQ choices to put with them?Originally Posted by DjSmed
Aspiring champion with powerfist. That would be awesome.I'm not a LatD guru, so I can't tell you if your nuances are legal, but from what I know, it does look legal, your compulsary choices are maxed and such.Originally Posted by DjSmed
hope this helps.
