    EC 1500 pts - how can i improve it

    here's my 1500 army, i tried to make it balanced, it was build to fight any type of army, but i have some indecisions:

    i'm not sure if using 2 doom sirens in squad alpha and betta will work, i also think that i may dropp one s. blaster from each gamma and delta squads for bolters, this way i wont suffer much from casualties,
    and what do you think it works better here, infiltrating or rhinos?

    ok, its looking pretty good so far.
    only thing is that alot of your squads are farely small. i know the reason you did this was to get the free aspiring champion, but i think it really takes away from thier survivability. also, drop one of the squads with the sonic blasters. also, the daemonettes could use some more members, up each squad to 12. they will still get the +1 summoning but will be a lot more resilient.

    I used to field a list excessivly similar to this. In 1500pts but changed some stuff.

    Suggestions.

    1- Have atleast 1/3 of your sonic blaster squad carry bolters, this may only save you 10-20 some points depending on the squad size but those free wounds are awsome.

    2- I also have had better time pumping my squads up to 12...

    In 1500pts i field 2- 12 man close combat squads, as well as 1 - 12 man shooty squad, plus some daeomonettes as my troops.

    3- I actualy disagree with alex, with 12 daomonettes there is a chance you will overkill something and thus leave yourself exposed, 6 daeomonettes is a good number for me, charge kill lots, spend next 2 turns chewing up the rest of the squad... With 12 i found myself most of the time killing a squad then standing there and watching 1/2 fall to bolter fire, then the others fail their instability.

    4- I typicaly take indirect fire over mutated hull on defilers, but i guess it depends on how youll use it.

    5- May consider buffing your havocs up to 8 models, this is not as fluffly and you lose the Free AC (which wasnt helping you anyway), but massivily adds to the survivibility.

    I'm kinda new to the game, but I'll try and help you out wherever I can. Most of this will be shamelessly copied from other, more experienced board members though :wacko:

    He's okay. But, at 1500 pts, there's no reason he can't be a Lord. Wargear/Daemonic Gift restrictions become more lenient and all. D. Mutation and Icon are okay but IMO superfluous. The rule of thumb with any Chaos Lord is to take essential stuff first, and leave out unnecessary stuff where you can.

    D. Speed and D. Aura are very good investments. Speed combined with Infiltrate guarantees a first turn charge, and Aura will grant a small measure of protection from Hidden Powerfists. Right now, your HQ will probably get pasted by a P. Fist or shot dead before he can do anything.

    Also, since this is a Slaaneshi warband, why not have Combat Drugs? Fluffy, versatile, and the risk of death is fairly small.

    Sonic Blasters, you will find, are somewhat of a contested issue on this board. You can probably do a search and bring up topics about it. Like lack0fbettername has stated, it's a good idea to drop a few blasters.

    These guys should be kept out of close combat, so a Champion is unneccessary. A lot of guys here prefer to have equal numbers of ablative bodies to heavy weapons, so that would mean an 8 man Havoc squad. Then you have 4 guys you are free to let go of before you have to give up any heavy weapons. Most people here also prefer autocannons, but I think you're okay with Blastmasters.

    I haven't really seen these in action, so I don't know enough to form an opinion either way, but some people don't like them because they think the points cost is a little expensive just for a battle cannon mounted on a fragile chassis. Those people that do use defilers often have indirect fire as well.

    first thank you all for comment my army,

    i decided to drop one s. blaster from each squad, the first unsaved wound will hurt less an i get some free points, maybe in the future i will drop more...
    better yet is (or worst, i dont know!) istead of the 6 man squads with s.b., 8 man squads with no champ, 4 sb, 1blastmaster and 3 bolters, cause their not made for cc i think the champ wont make a big diference, what do you think?

    about the sise of the havoc squad, i think i'll give the champ a chaos spawn, it has 2 wounds and a high T. and is cheapper than 2 havocs... well...i also can do this for the s.b. squads...

    thank you people, your posts have gave me new ideas, now i have to work this ideas and see if they are viable

    Yes, it will not avail you. Due to the spawn having a higher toughness, and there's only one of them, you'll always take casualties from your marines until there are only the spawn and the marine left. Sort of defeats the purpose of the meat shield.
