i will be using the chaos boys again in our local upcomming tourney. the rules are 2000 pts per team, each team player must be within 50 pts of the other, and each player must fulfill the regiular force org chart requirements. i have decided to again feild a fun list. however if you can improve on my list while keeping with the army plan, i will really appreciate it!
mark of nurgle, terminator armor, spiky bits, manreaper, nurgles rot, essence, strength, rune
6 terminators mark of chaos undivided 2x reaper autocannons 2 power fist tank hunters daemon icon
12 daemonettes (daemonettes in icon)
5 csm mark of nurgle
plague sword strength nurgle rot spawn
i may drop 2 daemonettes for more troops. i am tempted to try and fit in 2 infiltrating 6 man twin plasma squads. just really not sure about the last 175. and it pretty much needs to go towards a troops choice. please give me your thoughts and advice i really need it!

Hey there purple, here are my thoughts on your list!I think he is way too expensive for 1000pts. I realize its a doubles tourney but the force you're responsible for is 1000pts, he needs to shed some of that heavy pointage.Originally Posted by purple40k
Here are my suggestions: drop-rune(first and foremost, if he's able to be targeted by shooting you're playing him wrong) chose your targets for assault wisely and he will go a long way.
Now, I don't have my codex with me because I'm on vacation, but I believe you can also give him a movement enhance(daemonic speed would be very good with him) I would also drop the daemonic essence and nurgle's rot.Just fine(great, in fact)Originally Posted by purple40k30% of your force in 6 models is risky, but as a tribute to a fun list, here's my opinion on them. too many toys in 6 models, I try to keep it at a minimum of equal ratio for toys per meat shields. I would also drop the tank hunters, a pair of autocannons, whether they are "more accurate" just isn't worth your time except against landspeeders. If you want a tank hunting squad a squad of infiltrating nurgle havocs, with 4x meltaguns is excellent. As tough as they are, they are your only summoning point for your daemonettes, I don't particularly like this. Its risky.Originally Posted by purple40kI would break them up into 2 squads of 6, more flexability.Originally Posted by purple40kFor overall utility, I think a powerfist will be worth your while, the only time you will be happy you had a plague sword would be against TMCs. I also think you could use a boost in numbers here.Originally Posted by purple40kI think the pair of infiltrating 6-man squads will be far better than the terminators.Originally Posted by purple40k
The daemonettes are good. You could even make them 7-man squads with powerfisted ACs, and fit in a pair of special weapons(meltaguns).
What is your "partner" playing? A lot of this also would and should depend on what your partner is fielding as well, Does this force compliment your partner? does it do things that your partner's force cannot? All things to consider.
Hope this helps
