This isn't an exact list broken down to models and skills and weapons. But here is basically what I'm planning on building as far as models go, to have up to 2000 points of Alpha legion. Everything is given Infiltrate, and some units given a second skill depending on their job.
Just want to know if there is anything further I might want to have in my collection.
HQ: Lord in power armor, most likely with dark blade and some gifts.
Troops: 2 x 7 marines, 6 BP/CCW, 2 meltas, 1 AC with power weapon/BP.
1 x 9 marines, 7 bolters, 1 plasmagun, 1 lascannon, 1 AC with powerfist/BP.
3 x 20 cultists (no champions)
Heavy: 1 x 8 marines, 4 heavy bolters, 3 bolters, 1AC wit powerfist/BP
2 x 8 marines, 4 autocannons, 4 bolters.
The general idea is the lord can attach to the assault marines to help survivability. Or the marines can be used for counter assault, or a combat unit opposite the lord.
The cultists are pretty basic, just to run up and tie up units, especially nasty ones, or to force Ld rolls to shoot at the marines. I use meltabombs on them, so backup tank killers too.
The heavy bolters will be deployed behind the cultists to say down some cover fire. I figured lots of S5 shots should help clear the road.
And then of course the autocannons with tank hunters for everything else.
Seems simple, all infantry, slog across and shoot them.
I like the sound of it. I recommend some Obliterators. They are tactically very flexible and really suit the ALpha Legion style of play. Teleporting to where they're needed to attack from all directions.
I would recommend some more assault weaponry - plasmas and meltas.
I have about 6 plasma marines, and 4 melta marines, which does me for 1500 point level.
I would get a few more powerfist aspiring champions. maybe only 1 or 2 more though.
Otherwise, your're good to go. I look forward to the cultists.
FOR THE EMPEROR!

Lord: darkblade, D.Strength, furious charge(minimum) aura is reccomended,
D.Speed is great, even if he is attached to a squad, when you think you are just a little short, detach him and fleet and suprise charge your oponent, he'll hold out for one turn, just enough for your assaulters to come in and POUND!
Karmoon's right, obliterators are excellent I highly reccomend them.
W/D/L Eleventy trillion billion/NONE/ NONE - I am STILL rulezor!
WINDMILLS DO NOT WORK THAT WAY!
The two assault squads will have 2 meltas each. I may just put 2 plasmas in the tactical squad though. I just happen to have a chaos marine with las, sooo..
I could do a champion with a power weapon, if the points allow. For the fluff of this army though, I'm not using any deamons or mutations or anything. Basically the Lord stays out of the Eye unless summoned there. He prefers to keep things less mutated by chaos. Thus no oblits, but they do rock, I use them all the time in my Undevided list. So a "hidden genestealer champion" would not work, but a PW would.
