Fast is the only way to be.
Never used a lord of change but it could be fun. Which aspiring champion is the demon host? Whichever you choose as the demon host get rid of his wargear to save points and possibly buy demonic chains.
You could get a well tooled up statured demon prince for 180 points and you wouldn't have to sacrifice one of your 3 aspiring champions to get him on table. what about...
Lord: Stature, 2ccw, MOT, Strength, Resilliance, Flight, Aura, Wind of Chaos
I don't have my codex with me so I can't tell from the points cost but I hope these are Rublrc terminators not chosen terminators.
Nice but add a thrall wizard or two to each sorceror to get 2 BOC shots in the early turns.
Ouch thats a lot of points spent on upgrading 2 vehicles. for 10 points less you can get 3 preds each with AC & 2 LC. Either do this or shed a few upgrades (para possession definatly) to get points to upgrade your troops choice sorcerers with D Mutation and spiky bits for example.
Hey! Welcome to the dark side of the force....I mean Chaos! Anyway, welcome to the Thousand Sons - here's some advice for you - though keep in mind I am no expert. This is simply advice, if don't like it, don't feel obligated to follow it.
LoC- Remember that your Lord of Change has to possess an aspiring champion - you are going to have to sacrifice one of them. This is always a difficult thing for me personally since we rely so heavily on them. Anyway, take off some points on one of your Rubric sons so that they aren't wasted. Consider taking Daemonic Chains to help you maintain control.
Termies - I'd drop the Bedlam Staff - the chances of you actually using the advantages of it are slim to none. Take a Dark Blade instead. If not a darkblade then certainly a chainfist. To save some points, think about dropping the number of sons, they are extremely expensive.
Sons- Look great, I'd say add a Rhino (With Extra Armor and Smoke Launchers) to get some more mobility into your list, you are going to need it.
Heavy - You have put a lot of upgrades on these two. Think about shaking off most of these upgrades, except Daemonic Possession. The dreddies I find rarely get into combat.
Anyway, just some thoughts, good luck! Let us know how it goes!
"If you can wait til I get home, then I swear we can make this last."
lets take a looksy
just noticing your math is off, thousand sons AC's are automatically sorcerers, you don't have to pay for them, and if that guess was wrong, you pay the lower price for the pfist, the high one is for lords and Lt's only
IMPORTANT-you WILL be outnumbered in almost any game you play, so try to make that outnumbering as little as possible, use as many rubrics as you can, as it is them and their AC's that will win you the game, not fancy terminators, (although they might, just use less in such a small game). just keep your AC's safe as they are your CC specialist, and your heavy/special weapon in the squad, as such, don't feel bad about sinking 100 points or more into one. keep you vehicles simple, cheap and effective. and just don't charge the lord of change into any large swarms of 15 or more if they have more than 1 attack each, he will get taken out within 2 combat phases.
that concludes my advice. I hope I steer you in a right direction, and I wish you the best of luck
