    1847 Black Legion list

    Well here you go. Beat it up but I think its a good playable list. I would appreciate any advice I can get. When I play in tournaments it could be up to 4 games in one day and the other armies could be anything 40K so I can't tailor the list it has to be able to play anything.

    well....eeerrr......uuummm....I like it?

    You sir are a true rebel. I always appreciate tournament lists that are not IW or AL. I also love all of the demons.

    Furies - Best daemon available point for point and you have put them to good use.

    Flamers - yummy heavy bolters in daemon form.

    bloodletters - The bane of anything with a 3+ save or better.

    Good choices there, the only change I might have made would daemonettes instead of the bloodletters for a little more rounded all comers list.

    I would also move the Daemon chains to the Assualt marine squad rather than the dakka squad.

    Otherwise "very nice" (Borat voice)

    HQ: Smashing

    Oblits: Good

    Chosen: a little expensive for what you get. Does this unit need to be chosen? You can drop the a heavy bolter and one asp champ and save a lot of points by making them a standard CSM squad. But, you would then loose the demon icon. Drop the teleport homer anyway as the oblits don't need to deep strike that accuratley as their weapon choices give them plenty of range. Swap power weapons for power fists.

    Furies: Never really liked them. They are cheap and fast but the poor leadership can let them down. Fewer bloodletters can work well against armoured opponents and you will be summoning from an infiltrating position so the speed advantage of furies is lessened. My favourites are demonetted but the bloodthirster would have to go.

    Havocs: Nice. The asp champion isn't really needed as MoCU Ld 9 should keep them passing fallback tests from shooting casualties.

    Flamers of Tz: Expensive but fun. I think you can save a lot of points here by dropping the unit to 5 or 6 (explain why later)

    Blood letters: Super

    CSM squads

    You need another squad of MoCU marines to summon from. With all your demons and a 1850 point list your opponent could easily wipe out your 4 CSM squads before the last of the demons arrive (especially if the enemy get first turn). Use points saved from above to get another squad even if it is only a minimal 6 man unit with few upgrades.

    Squad 1: Save lots of points by loosing all the wargear from the asp champ execpt for Demon chains. When the blood thirster arrives it all goes to waste and the chains give it a 75% chance of arriving on turn 2.
    Normally chaos players put their free MOCU Icons on aspiring champions (as these are usually the last man to be removed as a casualty). For this squad ensure you have a seperate model with the Icon to keep it as a valid summoning point.

    Squad 2: Go for 2 meltas of possible.

    with all those demons a good solution would be a biker lt with demon armour

    you can use his IC status to have him safe first turn and then turbo boost him up where he can't be assaulted easily

    cheap and effective demon delivery, will comment more on your actual list later

    My only problem with this unit, is that you only have two guys who are meat shields for the HB and Champs. 2 more grunts would be a good idea.

    Lose the Champ. If you haven't done so already, have a look at various posts past and present on whether ML or AC are better, and about mixing them.

    I like the look of this list, a solid variety of troops that can handle just about anything. I'm a big fan of the Furies, as well, so it's nice to seem them on the field.

    My only notable objection is to the point cost for your CSM unit that holds the Daemon Vessel for the Bloodthirster. I believe this was already mentioned, but I'll throw in my support for this: drop the power fist, because he counts as the S of the Greater Daemon anyway. In general, I would just reduce the cost of the squad, but if you want, you could still go with a power weapon. He'll be S8 and still strike at I4.

    I do not have 4 autocannons or I would use 4. I think for autocannon havocs with Tank Hunter is cool!
