ok, I like the bloodthirster and the troops. My one big gripe is that I hate TL lascannons on dreads. There is a chance that they will fire frenzy and that those TL lascannon shots are not gonna go where you want them. Get predators to fill those spots instead. Also I would like to see some bloodletters leaping off of that unit of bikes you were talking about. I think that would rock.
IRON WITHIN, IRON WITHOUT!
I survived LO Chat thanks to: Karmoon, Rabbit, Process, Tossy and Meish.
I hear ya on the Predator-Dread Trade, that was one of the biggest decisions I had to decide between when I started buying models. The main reason I'm going with Dreads over Preds is that this is a themed army, based upon the Fortress of Ariggata cleansing pre-heresy force, from the escalade at the Basalt Citadel. I wanted everything to be able to go through gates and fight in the tunnels.
Also, I hate the old Predators and so I'm using Epic Warlord titans for my Dreadnoughts. If I go with bikes they all will get some crazy jetbike action, or if raptors they will get assault marine bodies with current raptor packs.
Hence that's the reason there're no Letters, I don't feel they would have manifested that early in the Heresy. The Thirster however very well could, being that thousands of skulls were taken in that citadel.
But now that I've seen the bitz breakdown of the Master of the ravenwing I'm leaning towards bikes, cause that'd be pretty sick, to put them on some beefy-ass bikes.
