D. Mutation, D. Speed, D. Strength, D. Visage, Frag Grenades, Manreaper, Mark of Nurgle, Personal Icon, Spiky Bits, Infiltrate = 176 pts
2 Meltaguns, Mark of Slaanesh, Slaaneshi Icon = 137 pts
2 10x Plague Marines
2x Plasma Gun 8x Bolter, Infiltrate = 240 pts each
6 squads 6 Demonettes = 90 pts each
People whined my usual all Slaanesh army could only win cause of Siren *rolls eyes* so this is my rough list for a non-Siren demonbomb extreme aggro. I recently got a free Nurgle Demon Prince model and just thought about how pretty Manreapers are. Basically, the HQs hide next to some Plague Marines and either jump in immediatley or use the resilient Death Guard to weather the small arms fire they may start by. Bikes bust big tanks while Demonettes and Chars scythe down basic infantry. TheDemonettes take down elite units, combaty HQs and slower tanks. Death Guard provide excellent fire support and aren't to shabby in a fight either. Any thoughts? This list is in the rough, unplayed stage so tweaks going in make me look good. :]
Just a quicky, I'll leave detailed crit to another expert.
The personal icon on your Nurgle Lord is useless, as there are no nurgle daemons to summon. He can't summon Slaaneshi daemons.
I don't particularly see what MoS is doing for the bikers either.
Give them MoCU and then skilled riders or tankhunters. They can still summon the shemales with a MoCU icon.
A squad of 10 plague marines is truly evil!
But, I'd consider taking a squad of undecided marines too. The reason being, that if something.. uh.. unfortunate happens to your lieutenant or bikers, you can still call forth the somehow delicious masculine powers of the shemales.
Yeah army lists on no sleep is no bueno. I'm trying to work in some Plague Bearers as I see some swarm weaknesses here and Nurgl'es Rot is fun. Good suggestion with the Bikers, they had the mark left over from my old all Slaanesh list. I'm really fond of 20 Death Guard though........*tries to hold them close*
I know what you mean. Once you use plague marines once, they're incredibly addictive. They change the game dynamic at such a level that opponents find it incredibly frustrating.
Even though it was only supposed to be a quicky, can't believe i missed out on it,
Where are your powerfists?
I know you have shemales for CC support etc, but you still need powerfists.
Powerfists are deadly on a normal deathguard squad, but on a 10 man squad it's just unfair.
I agree with Karmoon that you could easily lose your Nurgle HQ, though I do like him. I'd actually keep him, coz' I like mad close combat troops, and he fits that category well. I am now totally convinced that two HQs with Speed is a game winner, and have been field testing for my last few games.
Your lack of ranged anti-tank is worrying, and I'd try to get at least a 5 man LC squad, if not more.
Overall I like your idea, and think it will be fun to play.
Powerfists........ yup, for both your Nurgle squads.
Powerfists would be a good idea. I could also throw Nurgle's Rot on the Champ, which is my new favorite ability. I'm not a big fan of Devestator type squads, I like mobile fire power and in the games I've played I've always been able to largely avoid their arcs or just nullify them. A Dreadnought or a Pred might work but I dunno if I could find the points.......
The Plague Marines are in the wrong slot. Because the Lord is your General (Lord is always general) then anything with Mark of Nurgle stay in their respective slots. This means they're troops, and you have two too many.
You can get around this by making them Havocs. You'd have to free up 20 points somewhere to pay for the increased cost of Plasmas, though.
Grrrrr damn troop rule. Okay here's the revised list as stands.
Same as original
2x 5 Plaguebearers
4x 5 Demonettes
Predator w/ TL Las and side Las, Extra Armor, Dozer Blades (Not to happy with this)
2x 9 DeathGuard w/ 2x Meltaguns Asp Champ w/ Bolter and P. Fist (switched to Melta because everyone in this state plays with at least 2 BIG tanks)
Really wish I had something more mobile to bust faster tanks. I really don't like static units. Maybe Obliterators? :ninja:
You still have a broken Force Organization slot. So long as your lord has the MoN, your plague marines, as Caluin said, retain their position as troops. So, you have 2x troops as plague marines, 2x troops as plaguebearers, and 4x troops as daemonettes.
Here's one solution:
Switch the plague marines to havocs. You're only paying 5 more points per melta gun- a total of 40 additional points. This fixes the F.O..
Spambot kill tally. . .337
Eer.. Rabbit, me thinks the plague marines in the latest list are already havocs. just with two weapons each.
Either way. I think a single predator is a really bad idea in this list.
I kind of liked the original purity it had. I feel that somewhere along it beceome somethign different.
