Is this a good all-round army? It has very little points spent on magic items and such because of the army composition points you will need in a tournament.

Hi, and welcome to the Chaos Dwarf Section. Its a pretty good list, but a few things....
I would cut down the unit of 18 Blunderbusses down to 15-16 and get some more Bull centaurs, because 5, will probley go down very quickly.
I would cut the black gem of gnar of the sorceror and give him a dispel scroll or 2.
With all those greenskins, I would add the banner of slavery in there somewhere.

Banner of Slavery is very tempting indeed. But it will then have to go on the Warrior Unit and units within 12" of them are also within 12" of the general and will have Ld 10.

The idea for the Black Gem is to have a almost unbreakable unit with +5 for the warriors,
the general with his four great weapon attacks to inflict wounds. And if the usual monster
character comes along to fight them chances are good that the sorcerer traps him.

As for the Bull Centaurs I would love to have more but I wont manage to paint them in time.
Have enough with all my hobgoblins for the momement.

The tactics will probably be to make a really solid battleline so that the flanks are not exposed (probably use one table edge on one flank) and run the wolf riders behind enemy lines.
The Bull Centaurs are there to absorb missile fire and act as reserve unit. Hobgoblins will
screen and unleash fanatics and be generally annoying.

So what do you think of the tactics?

I see what you mean with the Black Gem, I'll have to try that one day.
And the other tactics are good too.
