- it is impossible not to notice that CD's and O&G share a lot of units... so is anybody playing both armies using the same models? (or at least using night goblins from the OnG army to represent hobgoblins?)
i started to collect a gobbo horde (with more night goblin stuff typically) and have many leftover dwarves together with a earthshaker with CD crew.
are CD's still legitimate in official games and can you use NG to represend hobbos? how do people react when they see a chaos dwarf army? and what is the easiest/cheapest way to make/convert chaos dwarves?
Bigger. Better. Waaagh.
I think chaos dwarfs are cool. My favorite way to convert them are to replace regular dwarf heads with 40k chaos space marine heads and to green stuff beards. Give them a grusom paint job and there ya go.
Night goblin hobs are good. I like to go for the classic look and paint their hoods orange and their clothes brown. They just look cool to me.
As far as people's reaction. Who knows? I know a lot of guys would think it was 'quaint' and would play you just for the expirience of it. Some elitist might give you crap, but who likes those guys anyway?
Most tournys wont take it, though. It's a shame, I really like the evil stunties...
Victory is achieved through mettle.
Glory is acheived through metal.
I got over 2000p of chaos dwarfs. I just love them. They are unique and looks very cool. I´m also a big fan of the old hats, nowdays all younglings want them with mask, but I do like my fanged dwarf with a high hat to show his status. Only problem for me is to paint them. I never seems to have time to do that :/
Here in Australia, Matt Cole has been doing very well with the Big hats, He's poduimed in a few Tournies I know of, and every tourney here allows them. The only reason they are not popular here is the modelling issue.

The Battle on Beale: July 18th-19th, Memphis, TN!
All of these have or had Chaos Dwarfs in their tournament , all used the Ravening Horde list and there is probably others I havent heard about too.
These large regional tournaments plus all of the club and hobby store tournaments give Chaos Dwarf army generals plenty of tournament action.
