Thouhts on the new Chaos Dwarwes

What do you hope will come out of the new Chaos Dwarves?
Will there come a new Chaos Dwarves book?
When will it come?


I think there will be a new chaos dwarves book acoming. Alot of things speak for it in terms of the chaos dwarves having mentions in both the rulebook and the new chaos warriors book. Actually it's mentioned in the WoC book that they make the armour that the warriors are wearing, so they are very important fluff wise.

Look at the WoC hellcannon. It's something that the WoC rent in return for slaves. When the Chaos Dwarves goes to war the roll forward with their real stuff, not the crappy rentals.
GW will have a field day to come up with the madness and invent the daemonic engines that the master daemonsmiths put together. I'm talking about insane and terrifying contraptions that hit's mainly with psychology.

Or are they just going to stick with their old earthshaker?
And will they keep their slaves such as Orcs and Goblins? The trend right now seems to exclude allies. Whats your thoughts on that?

I think GW would be smart to publish a new chaos dwarf army book with all the old units and some new units , if they don't then others will.

I think it looks like GW is just going to do what they did in the Realms of Chaos books , and just have chaos dwarfs as special units like the hellcannon in a general chaos army book for a while. Then after they have made some sales off these new minis, they will release an all new chaos dwarf mini line with their own look and army book.

I don't think GW developers or the fan base is satisfied with chaos dwarfs being auxiliaries in a chaos army I think they want an army with its own separate back ground and history like the last chaos dwarfs.

More and more chaos dwarf fans are creating their own army rules or adopting someone elses , more and more fantasy mini makers are producing chaos dwarf mins for warhammer armies.

If GW doesnt produce a new line of chaos dwarf minis and army rules soon their problem wont be if players will want to buy and play them it will be that players already have.

It does seem like things are slowly looking up with regards to the CDs getting a new book.

In the meantime, do you have any thoughts on the "semi-official" indy GT list being developed?

If this is true I have a stack of Chaos Dwarfs that are going to be marching to war once again!.


I personally loved the Chaos Dwarf hats and my Chaos Dwarf warriors will be taking pride of place in the centre of my army.

Would love to see Golems though.

Some sort of mechanical/daemonic golem would be very cool. I have considered looking into the Ogre rules to temporarily represent something like this, but I have yet to get round to it.

Indeed. Knowing me it'll take that long to get a decently sized army built anyway.
