Lately all my Warhammer time has gone into converting my skull pass goblins and dwarfs into a chaos dwarf army.
I have discovered that converting an entire army, while super cool, can at times be mind numbing.
Sometimes I feel like the hobgobo slave and not the Chaos dwarf master.
To change things up from the endless rank and file I have starting a conversion project using maneater rules as chaos dwarf golems. I figure the rules fit pretty well, maneaters being stubborn fits mindless magical automotons. etc etc etc.
I was just wondering if anyone else has already done this or if anyone has any ideas for the actual conversion. Right now I am thinking of going for the golem look from the WOW mmo used by the dark iron dwarves.
I was thinking of using killa kans or maybe even dreadnaughts with plenty of greenstuff and major conversion as the base models. I like some of the warmachine models and may use some of them but I want my army to be tourney legal.
Any ideas and comments are welcome.
I think you would either need a better armour save or better toughness to be more representative of a metal construct, I play maneaters with OK and they really suffer. How about similar rules to the gorger, they're unbreakable even? On the model side, Privateer press to a load of models like mechanical golems, but I think they're a bit futuristic for Fantasy
Thats a good idea. My only question is can gorgers be taken in other armies? I don't have a OK codex with me and am not sure if I can use them in my army with the OK dogs of war rule.
Yeah, I can't leave my earthshaker(s) at home. Didn't realize it was 2 rare slots. Gonna have to get my OK book and figure this out.
What about just regular Bulls or even Leadbelchers? I don't know a huge amount about Ogres, would they take up more than one rare slot?
Big steam/daemon powered walking engines with cannons in their chests sounds like fun.
Typical, I go on holiday and two new threads start up in this section.
