I saw this yesterday, and it's been good reading so far. I'm thinking I might give it a proxy or two with some mates. Got some mean stuff in there.

I'm actually still trying to read it. Damn real life. I felt it needed spreading around. Not that this is the most popular forum on the site.![]()
I read the unit entries, and armory. Skipped the history fluff as I usually do and go right to what I want, then I double back on it.
I think the list is extremely versatile, you are able to do multiple themes and still have a powerful, fun force. My only complaint was I wanted to do an all Hobbo army at some point, but only CD Warriors and Annihilators count for the required core, so I'd be forced to take some regardless of other choices.
Right now I am building both a "Theme" list which I love to do normally, and my own experiment into the "WTF BROKEN!" list to see how powerful you can make them. The magic item section in particular kinda bugged me, a few of the items seemed to good for the cost but we'll see. Right now my basic cheese list is going to center around how many Siege Towers I can fit in one game, with a magic slant.
Some of the special characters I think as well are under pointed, in particular the first Lammasu and Zhatan or w.e. Since the Lammasu dude makes the entire army immune to Fear, Terror, and Panic within 12" I believe. But since he is a large and (Somewhat) fragile lord choice, that could balance it.
But yeah time will tell, I'm excited that a lot of the GT's are allowing it for use, but I can see some controversy arise from this. But as I stated, these guys probably play tested this list from both a casual and tournament stand point FAR more than GW has with their lists, so we shall see how it turns out. Fingers crossed it's successful and GW takes notice.

I really like the new unofficial book. It's nice to have a lot more options in my CD army.
The all hobgoblin army is an option. There is a rule, hobgoblin horde I think its called, that states if a hobgoblin is your general hobgoblins count as core and CD warriors and anihilators become rare. With the special character lord that gives you a powerful mounted leadership 8 hobgoblin! The special character heor hobgoblin also is pretty interesting with his own lore of magic.
Can't wait till next Thursday when I can get a game in with these rules.

How legal is this book, would any gamesworkshops let you use it inside?

I'm not sure, to be honest. To be on the safe side I would probably stick to friendly games outside GW stores, and any tournaments that approve it. Some people even have a problem with playing against the RH list in stores.
necromancy.....but this entire section seems dead. :{
I downloaded that book today....chaos dwarves had caught my eye some 15 years ago when i still played 40k. Now with a large TK, and a decent lizard army, I've started some conversions using the dwarves from Skull Pass as a base.
I'd like to build, literally, a 2000 point force.
Anyways. In the Army Book, I see that warriors can take chaos armor for +3 pts., but what does it do?
I'd also like to know how any of your Urukites are doing?
....NM. I found out about chaos armor....like all good GW books, the rules are scattered far and wide....I know this is NOT a GW book, and it's really pretty awesome that people have put it together...must have really taken some doing.
