for my dwarf warriors of chaos army i'm planning on making a chaos dwarf daemon prince with parts from the new daemon prince kit and parts from my dwarf collection, i was thinking of using the arms legs and wings from the daemon prince set and the body and head from my dwarves collection, any advice? anyone with any experience in dwarf/daemon conversion?
glory to hashut
Isn't a dwarf warrior, you know, small? And a demon prince is a 50mm square base?
Yeah, I hate to tell you this, but the Daemon Prince's arms and the pinions of his wings are about as big around as the dwarf body.
I could see possibly using him as a Dwarf riding on a Great Taurus. He'd be all one model, but he'd have the stats of a C.Dwarf Lord + Great Taurus. Same base size etc.
The other thing to remember, from a fluff standpoint, is that Chaos Dwarves and Daemons aren't very friendly. Chaos Dwarves tend to trap Daemons and stick them into wargear, rather than making friends with fiends.
It could be like Master Blaster from Mad Max 2, a Chaos Dwarf riding a demon prince. The dwarf does the thinking, the demon does the...uh... doing...?
I can see what the others are saying, from a modelling view point a dwarf with such huge wings would be silly. However, making him bigger perhaps making a mechanical creature to represent something in the list might work quite well.
From what I remember, its unkown who hashut is, it might be just a minor god, but it could very well be father chaos.
