i dont mind not having a new book PDF = free
I still have their old army book (given to me by a friend). and when i first got into warhammer, i really wanted a chaos dwarf army, only to be disappointed to find that they weren't available anymore. *sigh* that was a sad day indeed
I'm on 40k now, but if they do get a new army book, i'll be one of the happiest fellas out there.

Well for anyone that may or may not be interested. There is a Chaos Dwarf page that is trying to get a new CD pdf based on 7th ed rules. Basically there is a chance that GW could pick this up but no promises, if you guys wanna contribute you can read up on it here:
The Hand of Hashut :: View topic - Chaos Dwarves 7th edition ( get you by ) book in the works
I think GW kinda gave up on the Chaos Dwarfs. I think it was mainly to do with people thinking it was just a "what if dwarfs were chaos-ified" army. Hence they didnt take the army as seriously. Also the fact that they are near the Mountains of Mourn means that they wont have border-battles with many armies (apart from OK but they weren't around at the time). I think they have enough of a following and I personally thought they would get a list in the SoC book, esp with CD manning the hellcannon. I think if they create a new army book, with new miniatures they can revive this army. I mean, it worked for the necrons didn't it?

I talked to Gav Thorpe about Chaos Dwarfs at Gamesday. He said, "I'd love to (referring to writing new CD Rules) but I just don't have time."
I find it hard to believe that GW can re-release books multiple times in a single edition, and yet lack the time to build a new CD book.
Alas, maybe one day...
With that said, I really didn't like the CD minis that man the Hellcannon. IMO, CDs need to be more funny than serious. I think Chaos and elves are serious enough for all of WFB.

Well honestly anywhere you go including cd.com all you get is rumors and hearsay. There is a thread on there now about a '07 release then others say '09 and '10 as lastest but who knows. Either way all we can do is hope for the best and convert until then .
