As the title suggests, is anyone using deamonic steeds? I haven't seen them in many armies. But then again, the deamon prince is mostly beter in every aspect.

I used a daemoic steed for a while but that was before I found (what I think) are better options.
I used a Khorne lord on a juggernaught with lightning claws but he couldn't ride in a rhino but he would sure mess people up in CC and the potential of a 24' charge range was nice. Of course this came at a higher cost than a daemon prince with wings and warptime or lash, which seemed to be more effective.
In the HQ section I saw some suggestions of HQs on a Disc of Tzeetch which seemed to have some value but never really tried them out.
I've used the discing tzeentch sorcerer of death a good bit and I have to admit it's a lot of fun. Even if it does cost a Land Raider's worth of points. I've used her in 8+ games now and she's made her points worth all but 1 game where I failed to notice the powerfist I was charging so I didn't use Wind before hand for fear of not reaching assault.
I wrote up more lengthy impressions on my blog:
Sorceress of Tzeentch at Play Wargamer Haven
Other then that, I haven't really messed with the other steeds in the current codex.

**NEW** Lawman Action Figure, now with post closing action! (Batteries sold separately)
Please be sure to read the rules.
Lawmans super heavy count: 5. (Brass Scorpion, Baneblade, Tower of Skulls, Warhound Titan and Ann'grath the Unbound).
Trying to decide on a Silver Tower of Tzeentch, or a Plague Reaper of Nurgle next.
Sorry there sundevil, but only the Slaanesh steed makes the unit move like cavalry. the Khorne steed just restricts it from transport as if it were cavalry. Tzeench give jump infantry, and Nurgle restricts it's transport much like a termie.
every steed basically gives +1 attack, and 1 other bonus. Either a stat boost or a better movement mode, and they all provide some sort of restriction on how it may be transported.

I use this set up
Chaos Lord
Mark of Slaanesh, Demon Weapon, Steed of Slaanesh
She has preformed wonderfully except for the last game I played but then again the whole army was pretty much disappointing me.
If you do things right people wont be sure if you have done anything at all.
Daemonic Steeds are undoubtedly cool and pretty effective.. the idea of Khorne Lord with a Bloodfeeder crashing into and big squad of SMurfs sends shivers down my spine... but point for point they're just not as effective as some of the more common options. The Lash Prince and even Kharn are significantly better.

what about useing the disc to throw in with deep-striking raptors? iv only used my tzeench lord in one game so far but he sure makes my raptors alot scarier / adds some extra wounds to them. plus with the daemon weapon of tzeench not being able to assult right away seems less detramental.
Could you understand the beauty of the beast?
