Warped Minds Think Alike

Host of Many Souls:
Mordeci is a very warped creature, possessed by many different daemons. Depending on wich daemon he is possessed by at the moment his Daemon Weapon has different characteristics. Roll a D6 in the beginning of every battle to determine the current affliation of the ruling daemon.

Daemonborn:
As a result of being created in the Eye of Terror Mordeci has the daemonkin rule. In addition to this he and any squad of possessed in the army roll twice on the Possessed Abilities table (C: CSM p.29). If the same ability is rolled for a squad,re-roll one of the dice until you have two different results. Being part daemon also gives other benefits, Mordeci has the Eternal Warrior rule.

Warped Mind Think Alike:
They say that warped minds think alike and the legions of chaos are no exception. Because Mordeci is a possessed chaos lord he understands the nature of other possessed marines better than other chaos lords. Therefore he can give them specific orders that will not conflict with their nature. If Mordeci is included in the army Possessed Marines are scoring units (but still elite choices!)

Mordeci was created somewhere in the Eye of Terror by Fabius Bile. Due to Bile’s habit of mixing with genetic codes Mordeci turned out unstable and with a strong psychic aura. A lot of daemons were attracted by this aura, leading to a great battle that lasted many weeks. When the battle ended there were four daemons still alive, now stronger than ever. Though just as the final phase of the battle was about to begin Mordeci had finally fully awakened. As he awakened he welcomed all four daemons and let them take their place in his being. For all of the remaining years new daemons have come to seek out Mordeci and take part of his psychic energies.

For the points I would say the same cost as a chaos Lord + Daemon Weapon + 25 points for the special abilities and the extra strength.

Why not make him roll on the possessed abilities table before each game too (may want to increase the points a bit for this). He should of course count as a daemon for special rules such as grey knights etc.

The thought actually was that he would do that as I wrote in the Daemonborn rule, he gets the daemonkin rule and rolls twice on it may have written it a bit unclear though ^^

Would 175 points be a fair cost for him?

What about making Possessed a scoring unit or even a troops choice? As he is "Daemonborn" he may attract an unusual amount of Possessed Marines.

Thought about that a little, but I dont really think they I'd like them as a troops choice... Perhaps they could become scoring though... Will give it some more thought ^^

If the possessed could roll twice and get 2 things, as well as becoming scoring, I'd gladly take a few squads. I think that making them scoring, and giving him 2 rolls on the chart himself, would push him into the realm of greatness, easily make him worth 200 points or so. With such a special character, squads of possessed marines would finally feel worthwhile. ^_^

If he made Possessed Troops would this not also make them scoring units? (As per the rulebook), I'd say make them scoring and 2 rolls on the demonkin table. Put him up for about 205 points bobs your uncle, mazza's your aunty

You know, I hadn't thought about it, but this isn't a bad result, since he has a daemon weapon! You don't have any control over which one unless you roll a 6, but his daemon weapon has some really interesting interactions with his mark (or lack of one) and his daemonkin rule. Say... unmarked furious charge for the str 6! Here's hoping you don't roll a 6 for him on daemonkin, though, eh? ^_^
