Allies - Fateweaver!

So after some thinking, I am under the impression that Fateweaver could be our biggest boost right now. Imagining 1KSons and Plague Marines with re-rolls on their saves is awesome. I think I may have to take a unit of 10x IoT Terminators to try out how resilient a 2+/4++ with re-rolls can be, especially with how hard AP2 Close Combat weapons are to come by right now. IoT Terminators will be better then TH/SS terminators, and they can shoot!

Fateweaver is also a flying MC so he has high mobility after he hits the table. And with his rules of Master of Sorcery and We Are Legion, he can effectively threaten 3 units a turn. Imagine throwing a Bolt of Tzeench at a tank, Wind of chaos at a unit of Terminators, and Daemonic Gaze as some Marines, then getting to assault the tank and use SMASH! It just sounds like a lot of fun to me.

I think Fateweavers main use in a CSM army will be to keep the CSM Daemon princes alive for longer. CSM princes are a cheaper method of getting fast moving (but sadly not flying) MCs in a list and with the cheap doombolt being swapped for a roll on the Psyker chart or just keeping with the classic Lash of Submission they are great. When playing against Lash/Oblit armies I used to immediately kill 1 or sometimes both princes on arrival (2x10 horrors and plenty of daemonic gaze). Fateweaver however will make this trickky and you usually have to invest an entire army turn shooting to take out Kairos himself rather than forcing your way through the rerolls for the rest of the game.

I am excited about fateweaver and the new codex because I am about to start CSM. I just wish daemon prices were fmc so I could vector strike. fateweaver sounds great. He has got like 10 daemonic gifts
