Could I give a thunder hammer to a chaos lord (or to an aspiring champion, for that matter)? In the codex it doesn't speak about thunder hammers at all...

nope, those are space marine weapons, and so are lightning shields.

well if u think they look cool then go ahead. jus keep in mind that they wont have the special properties of the sm thunder hammer

yeah, call it a power maul like the chaos termis have. It'll be different than the usualy power weapons. And don't forget that demon weapons don't actually have to be what they are refered to, as in a dark "blade" or a dread "axe". A dark hammer would be neat!

I personaly think that you can make such better wepons for chaos than a thunder hammer but i dont know how good it is but it a space marine wepon so find a cool chaos wepon

It'll be different than the usualy power weapons. And don't forget that demon weapons don't actually have to be what they are refered to, as in a dark "blade" or a dread "axe". A dark hammer would be neat!
