I just thought i would start this for all you budding young writers out there for a place to get opinions, CONSTRUCTIVE critisicms and any other things people would care to mention.

Predominantely this is for SM fluff but any others will be appreciated so get writing and join up.

Well his the first part on the history of my marines.

To whoever has discovered this data file I grant thee the divine gift, the gift of knowledge.
What follows is the truth for, what little is known, and must not be let fall into the hands of the unjust or the corrupt.

The full history of the Soul Reavers Order of Space Marines is now not fully known, the millennia of time that has passed since the great crusade and the terrifying acts of the Horus heresy has left nearly all records destroyed and any that survived stored within the vast grimoirés hidden in the dark catacombs of daemonic lore and forbidden knowledge that have long ago been sealed away from man?s eyes. The original tale of the Soul Reavers is now wrapped so deep within a veil of mystery and myth that the truth may never again be truly or fully known.

Only the Soul Reavers now remember their history and even within the shadowy chapter only a few now know the truth and only one the complete tale. Despite all denial by the present Imperium the Soul Reavers were in fact apart of the first founding. Their honored names were those along side the Blood Angels, the Space Wolves and the many other great legions that took part in the carving of the Imperium in the glorious crusade. However, their name was not always thus, for their true origin hides a terrible truth, a truth which in the eyes of man damns them forever into an eternity of retribution and darkness. All records of the legion were expunged and sealed by the Inquisition millennia ago during the Horus rebellion. Why the legion?s records were deleted is yet another piece of the puzzle that has been locked away for millennia but which I reveal.

The beginning of the Soul Reavers

I have come to understand that such things I have said here may lead the reader to believe that The Soul Reavers were one of the infamous lost legions of the First founding, the two ancient legions that were deleted from the great Liber Astartium, the first list that marked the hallowed birth of the Emperors twenty sons. It is true that some ten years into my research on this mysterious ?Order? the possibility of this was almost too much for me to ignore but in truth even I have no knowledge on those lost Legions. All this does not deny the fact that the Soul Reavers were the children of one of the Primarchs. To discover the full truth we must start at the very beginning at the birth of the Primarchs.

The Emperor in his great wisdom knew that to reunite humanity he would need help and that the task was beyond even his divine abilities. With this in mind he began the holy program that would bring forth the Primarch?s, twenty children of his own sacrosanct blood who would grow into towering pinions of might and courage, demi-gods who together could bring light once more to the universe and reunite man in a glorious empire. The greatest minds of terra banded together in the project and after years of relentless study and bio-genetics research the incubation began.

But such power that was put into the great endeavor that it did not go unnoticed by the unknowable lurkers in the darkest depths of the Empyrean. For when the dark powers of chaos looked upon the twenty silent babes they saw a force that if united could undo all their dark machinations and even threaten their own immortal power.

Thus the four Ruinous powers banded together in fear and lent all their strength to steal away the infant lords of mankind. Not even the great protections blessed upon the incubation chamber by the Emperor could defend the children wholly and they were snatched away by the evil hands of daemons and scattered throughout the furthest reaches of the galaxy in the hope that they would never be found.

This was how it came to be that each babe would land upon a different world, to live lives of hardship and often terrible cruelty. The story of one of those children began on the planet of Barbarus. His name was Mortarion, Lord of the Death Guard. His tale has been told elsewhere for it is not with him that the tale should begin for there was another.

Within the honoured ranks of the Death Guard two arose to prominence and the respect of the great Mortarion.

The first was the mystic Typhon, courageous, cunning, strong and relentless yet hiding a terrible secret within a dreadful heart. It was Typhon who truly damned the Death Guard to an eternity as the pawns of chaos and the Great Decayer, Nurgle. His story has also been told, his treachery that trapped the legion within the warp to succumb to the pestilent disease of the Lord of Rot.

But what has not been told was how not all were taken, some escaped, forewarned of the great betrayal of there master and given a chance at salvation. The Saviour as he became known has his own story. A legend that shall now be told.

Hieronymus Akh Ravensdark was found upon the planet of Braxus VI. A harsh, cold world of endless winter, darkness and fear. The man was one with his world, his thoughts and emotions shaped by his environment. A cold, ruthless and calculating creature of the night, the great Mortarion saw promise in him from his first days within the honoured death guard.

His rise within the ranks of the Death Guard was swift. His ability at strategy and subterfuge marked him as one for command and he soon came to be trusted as a leader of men, loved beyond question by his troops and respected by his peers.

At the battle of Reinhart?s Rift Heironymus assumed command and led the fifth great battle company to victory over the warriors of the Valtar after the death of the company?s commander. It was said by the marines under his assumed command that he fought in a terrible silence. Killing left and right with no qualm or quarter given, like a judge of death passing out execution to all that stood before him.

After his return to the legion?s homeworld he was granted command of the very men he led to victory. Over a thousand men came under his order.

Heironymus claimed victory after victory for his Primarch and the Imperium. It is even said he was cited for gallantry beyond call by the emperor himself after he saved an entire platoon of imperial guard from an orc ambush. Thus it was only a matter of time before Heironymus came to be one of the Death Guards greatest generals along side Typhon, the right and left hands of Mortarion.

However Heironymus and Typhon disliked each other from the outset. Perhaps Heironymus saw Typhon?s treacherous nature from the very beginning or Typhon sensed Ravensdark?s future with his dark powers. Whatever the reason there was no love lost between the two marines and many a heated argument over battle plans and strategies came about.

Thus the rift within the Death Guard was first forged, a split in allegiance that would come to save many from being truly damned. At the height of his success before the Horus Heresy consumed the Imperium and the galaxy, Heironymus held sway over three thousand marines to which it is said he knew every name and personally held the last rights for every fallen comrade. Only to Mortarion their Primarch did his men show greater respect and awe.

yeah, i had some fluff on a chapter i was gonna start but its really bad. i might try and tie up some loose ends and make it better and then post it, but thatll take a while

Planet Ardeois 7

It has been six long weeks since we have gotten any word from HQ I fear the worst has happened to my brother. I had promised mother that I would never let Thor die by the enemy. I pray to the Emperor for his safety. I have 2 packs of Grey Hunters, 3 land speeders, and 5 packs of blood claws. The Blood Claws were foraging the area this morning when come came in that a Blood Angel tactical squad was going through the area and were dropping supplies, but as they started down the valley to the space wolf troops they were destroyed by an Ork dreadnought and a group Killa Kanz. The Junkers started to the encampment when a rhino followed by two razorbacks. The rhino was Ultramarine, the razorback armed with twin-linked heavy bolters was a Space Wolf, and the razorback with twin-linked lascannon was a blood angel. The wolf razorback stopped, letting the Long Fangs into the sunlight. Three of the four long fangs had missile launchers and one had a heavy bolter. The first Kan toppled onto the ground as its cockpit exploded sending shrapnel into the dreadnought to its left. The dreadnought was crushed by Ultra Rhino that had jumped off a ledge. The rhino flipped throwing the marines in side in the path of the 2 remaining Junkers. Three of the marines had died in the crash but the rest of the marines opened fire on the Kanz. Four more marines died before the first Kanz was destroyed, the sergeant was crushed under the wreck of the rhino as the adeptus marines inside charged out with duel chainswords each. They destroyed the last Kan.

Some time later Ulf stood before wolf lord Thor. Thor had gotten word of the ultra marine and Blood Angels death tolls.
“What happened during the mission, how did 16 of those Blood Angels die?� Thor asked.
“Ten were destroyed in there rhino by Green skins. The rest died from a unknown cause.� Ulf said. Only 2 ultra marines had returned but all of the fallen geneseeds were salvaged.
There had be heavy conflict between the Blood Angels and the Ultras and Wolves. They had had several incidents were the two sides had open conflict so far the only casualties of the fighting had be blood angels and a few blood claws.
