Have you recently lost a pet? Go on, share your pain. Maybe it will help you to return to normal state of mind, even if for a moment.
I have lost three cats in little over a month.
Indy (06/2004-08/2005) - Month ago. Someone has beaten him up, strongly enough to cause a rib to fracture and puncture the cat's lung. Goodbye, rat-terminator. I'll miss you, furry monster.
Lara (06/2004-09/2005) - Indy's sister, she died trying to give birth to a second litter of kittens this year. I'll never forget the gentle, bright-eyed kitty that she was.
Fuks (2/09/2005-4/9/2005) - The only kitten that Lara gave birth to before her untimely death. Altough I and my mother tried our best to keep it alive and everything seemed well, the poor thing has died two and a half day after birth. Altough we didn't have time to get as attached to him as to Indy and Lara, his loss did still hurt.
i havent lost any pets recently, but i want to add my three gone-but-not -forgotten furry friends (cats) to the litany:
Rest in Peace buddies

He who makes a beast of himself gets rid of the pain of being a man- S. Johnson
id like to remember my dog, willie brown (named after a character in the movie crossroads)
he was my best friend. i love that dog.
Well, he didn't die, but four years ago we gave one of our dogs away. This absolutely crushed me because I'm closer to our dogs than I am to any member of my family or anyone else for that matter. It took a long while to get over his loss, but fortunately we got a new puppy shortly after, which helped. Unfortunately, she had to undergo surgery five days ago because she had an infected uterus that had filled with pus (sorry for the graphic image). Now, she's back home and recovering, but her survival isn't guaranteed. She's a very timid dog, the runt of her litter, and she's also malnourished (she wasn't eating properly for a while and still isn't). Hopefully I won't be reporting back in to this thread, or if I do, it's with good news.
I lost several animals in my life.
Momma Cat - We found here at our doorstep one night wanting food, so we gave her some and after a few weeks she became part of the family. I forgot the exact date but she died ona road right next to our house. I think it was Route 287 or Berlin Turnpike.
Houndini - She was the tinies of 3 kittens momma cat had (we didn't know the gender of the kittens so some got guy names) . As the name suggests, she hid alot. Was the secodn cat that died by a car on the road like Momma Cat.
Angel - Died the same way as the other two. She died a couple of months ago or something. Was one of my favorite of the cats. Had 5 fingers and nice 2-3" claws >_<. The only cat we have left that is still alive and well is Gus, which is a bit more "hissy" than the others, but she lieks me and I know where she likes to be petted ^_^
3 Bunnies we had - Died of shock from seening something. We think it was a fox. This happen years ago when we owned them and had them outside in a barn.
Casidy - Still my favorite dog we had since I was 6ish. Died of old age and liver/heart problems.
Gwen - eh...wasn't my favorite cat. She literrally took the term meaning about cats repsenting evil or something. Never, ever liked anyone and always attacked if you tried to pet her. Died of old age.
We also had several othr animals that eitehr ran away or died. not sure abotu them since I was only 5 when we had them.
The Psychotic, Soda Addicted, Level-Headed Christian Friendly, Sexy Japanese Girl of LO
I've lost 5 goldfish and thats it really and I wasn't really that sad about it.
