Rep Power: 61 ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Right, this should be interesting. I'll mark this as one of my subscribed threads. User Name: Archetype (think the album by Fear Factory) Location: New Hampshire, USA (if you want anything more specific, you'll have to ask very nicely... :shifty: ) Fleets: Just Eldar Corsairs for now. It's actually what got me involved in GW gaming in the first place. I am perfectly willing to admit that I need and want more escorts, especially the Hellebores. Versitile little buggers. They're based in the Mordant Zone, where thinly-stetched Imperial military and ample supply convoys make for great raiding. Great... now I want to play a Convoy Run. Specialization: Striking quickly and decisively in the first pass and crippling many ships/squadrons (still working on that, as my current record stands at no wins, no draws, and three losses). Last game I had was over two years ago. Oh, I also have an affinity for composing at least a partial background for every force that comes to mind. Guess you could call me a wanna-be storywriter. Article Potential: Heh heh... give me a little time to think it over and decide what types of articles won't, in all likelyhood, make me sound like a gibbering idiot. Local GW/Gaming club: There are no GW stores in New Hampshire, and the closest independent retailer is an hour's drive away. Last I checked, they had some Tyranids, Dark Eldar, and the Planet Killer as far as BFG stock went. I am a community member of the Plymouth State University Gaming Club, whose members play all sorts of games from Warhammer to D&D to M:TG and some very obscure stuff. There's a few fleets around here, including another (at least potential) Eldar player.

Welcome Archetype. Well, the new ship has been basecoated, and will be painted today. I'll post up some pics and experimental rules in the forum soon.

Welcome, Archetype! I'm from Rochester, down by the Maine border. Plymouth, eh? Went to Durham myself, but I had a friend named Alan who went to Plymouth and was involved in working at the Econo-con a few years back. We grew up in the Lakes Region. Liberty Tree Mall, Danvers, is your closest GW shop, but you just described their inventory as well. I imagine you head down to Manchester for your one-hour-away shop. Been over that way across Rte. 101. Some nice shops there. |

Great! I have never actually seen a complete ork fleet outside the rulebook. My merchant ship is currently being painted, and there will be an assembly guide to go with it. The only GW piece it uses is a single turret! The rest is entirely scratchbuilt, but is easy to do. It is also huge, worryingly huge, almost eight inches wingtip to wingtip. Though the ship's body is only four or so inches long. Should be good.

Problem is that they are currently renovating my dads flat so I can't access it. He has moved to his parents, which live around 3-4 Swedish miles from here, and he have taken his digital cam with him. I don't know when I cna borrow it, but it will probably be a while. The total fleet consists of this: 1 Kill Kroozer 2 Roks (made from polyestrene and 40k bits) 6 Onslaughts 4 Brutes I'm going with a lot of drybrush on them. The ship's 'heads' are drybrushed red and the rest of the hull is then drybrushed tin bitz followed by boltgun metal and a black wash. A final highlight of chainmail is then brushed on. Details are painted inread (turrets and such) and most of the ships have a squad marking (like checks and dabs). Last edited by Da Mighty Camel; March 20th, 2006 at 10:31. |

hi there! One thing which might be nice is if people could post in the same type of font that is used in the fluff of the games workshop books. This comp is having some trouble but if you want the font zip its at http://blackstone.outpost10f.com/downloads/CASLONA.zip Anyways heres the revlevant info. Username: Shadowrunstephen (real name Stephen). Location: Turlock, CA, USA soon to be Prescott, AZ, USA Fleets: Imperial, Chaos, 1 ship soon to be more of Eldar. Specialism: some painting, mostly battle reports or themed articles, or tactics. Article potential: some scenery, battle reports themed campaign lines/ scenarios, tactical excerpts, upcoming events or web sites of note for BFG (this would be real useful and give me a good excuse to use my time to do this as it is really hard to find FUNCTIONING (i.e. active) and cool BFG sites with out looking through all of the crap. Local GW store/ Gaming club: 3 stores in my vicinity Modesto, Turlock, 1 that I know of in Prescott. |

Welcome to the new members. The Clan's banner is the Pirate's Haven one seen in the sig just above your post. I put the code of how to do it on the first page. ![]() Necrons in BFG just look sweet. If I had the spare cash and some opponents I'd definitely order a fleet of them.
