Well as I see we are almost done just a little left.:w00t:

    Here's a question. Is there really un-fluffy?

The way I see it there isn't there can always be an excuse for everything. But if you are trying to go by the books and stuff then I guess you can say it.

Which army is the most over rated?

I was able to go to Hobbytown USA and get some games in. I don't think they deserve to be in the battlereport section, as I don't remember them too well, therefore lacking detail.

    Anyway, the basic gyst.

Game 1: Free for all, 500 points. I played Chaos. It was me vs. Tau vs. old Eldar vs. daemonhunters.

Armies: Daemonhunters (Grandmaster, 4 terminators, 2x 5 inquisitorial storm trooper squads), Chaos (pimped nurgle lord, and 2 plague marine squads), old Eldar (Prism Tank, Warp Spider squad, 2x 3 Ranger squads, Farseer), Tau (HQ battlesuit, 2x 12 firewarriors, vespid squad, sniper gundrones).

Deployment- Daemonhunters Grand Master and terminators set-up in the bottom left hand corner of the board, hiding behind a large peice of terrrain. Some sort of factory, I think. His inquisitorial storm troopers set-up in a tower nearby at his corner.

The Eldar deployed at the opposite side of the table, diagonal to the Daemohunters. They set all their snipers on top of a very tall tower. The Farseer was there also. It had Warp Spiders and Fire Prism on the ground level, deployed near the tower. Eldar were the only army on their side.

The Tau deployed on one of the other corners. He had one of this fire warrior squads on a small bridge, as well as his sniper drone controller. The rest of his army was packed around the area, many of it in cover, nearby.

All of my army infiltrated. I deployed my lord and one csm squad inside a building, and the other right outside it.

Finally, the game started. Everyone had their good times food, and we begun to play! Unfortunatly, I went last, which was a bummer. Daemonhunters went first, and he decided to do nothing his turn...Next went Tau. The Fire Warriors shot through the windows of the building at my chaos lord, taking off a wound of my Chaos Space Marine squad. Other various shooting from the Tau destroyed a single Chaos Space Marine. Then it was the Eldar's turn. He moved his pirsm tank up in LOS to shoot at my chaos space marine squad that wasn't in the building. He shot, and missed. His Warp Spiders moved forward, and he ended his turn. And then, it was my turn. With infiltrate and d. speed I was able to assault the Tau players HQ battlesuit on the first turn. My other squads moved forward, and shot their weaponry at the tau doing some damage. I had equipped one squad with 2x plasma guns, and the other 2x melta guns.

After that the second round of turns started. Daemonhunters moved foward, my hq chaos lord finished off the hq battlesuit in the tau's turn, my space marines finally reached combat with his tau firewarriors and sniper drones (well, one of the chaos space marine squads got destroyed from combined firepower of the sniper drones before i could assault, other various tau squads, and the eldar Fire Prism which took out 5 marines alone. Again, his warp spiders moved up into cover, getting prepared to take on the incoming daemonhunters.

Eventually, I had taken all of the Tau and his fleeing vespids were shot down. I then moved on towards, and soon assaulted the daemonhunters storm troopers. Meanwhile, the terminators had moved to the center of the field where the warp spiders used to be (the warp spiders had retreated to avoid being assaulted). My chaos space marine squad got left behind as it was too slow to get back into battle, but my chaos lord sped towards the daemhunters terminator/grand master squad. I assaulted, killed 2 terminators leaving only the grand master left, which took my chaos lord down with its mighty force weapon. We decided to call the game an Eldar victory at this point, because Eldar was still at full power (they didn't do much fighting. THey pretty much just stayed back and shot hte prism cannon.), while all I had left was a chaos space marine squad, and daemonhunters just had the grand master left, and a couple of inquisitors.

So, Eldar victory. Of course I think anyone that had been able to set-up in the same position as eldar would've won. But, oh well.

The second battle was me playing tau, verse my same old eldar friend.I don't have time for it now. I might post it later.

Game II: One vs. One, just trying to destroy eachother. I played Tau, vs. my same friends old codex Eldar.

Armies: My army (Tau) consisted of a HQ battlesuit of Helios configuration (for those of you unfamiliar with Tau battlesuit formations, Helios means it's equipped with a plasma rifle and fusion gun; fireknife means plasma rifle + missile pod). I also gave him various other wargear, paticularly multi tracker and shield drones. I also had a fireknife elite battlesuit. I had a small squad of stealth suits, and two fire warrior squads of members each.

The Eldar army consisted of: Vyper, Fire Prism, Farseer, Warp Spiders, Rangers.

Deployment: We set up at opposite board edges, granted 12" deployment from the sides. We set up on the long ends, so there was 24" between us. (not exactly sure).

He set up his fire prism, rangers, and farseer with guide all on the same, very tall tower, so he could see most places on the board. This tower was at the corner of his board edge. He set up his Warp Spiders in the middle left of his board edge (other side of the tower), and placed his partically in cover on the far left. The Vyper deployed right in the open of the middle of his board edge.

My Helios suit deployed in cover on the side of the prism tank and near the vyper, in attempt to take either one down. The other suit, Fireknife, deployed nearby with the same intentions. My Fire Warriors deployed on the same side where his fire prism and rangers were as well. They were there to target his rangers. My other Fire Warrior and stealth suits squads deployed on in cover near one of my corners, preparing to kill his warp spiders.

And thus, the game begins! To my benefit, I got first turn contrary to my last match. I moved my stealth suits up to get LoS on the Warp Spiders. Same with the Fire Warriors nearby. I kept my other Fire Warrior squad behind cover. My Helios Hq and elite fireknife battlesuits both moved forward, using their jetpacks to their benefit, via moving over the cover they were behind. They positioned so they both had range and LOS of both the fire prism and the Vyper. This way, if I destroyed one of the vehicles first with one of the battlesuits, I could direct my fire at the other enemy skimmer. My fireknife fired at the vyper with it's missile pod and plasma rifle, but failed to do anything significant. My Helios was able to finish it off however, with his plasma rifle. My stealth suits and fire warriors managed to kill a couple warp spiders. All the battlesuits jumped back out of assault range and/or into cover, in the assault phase using their jetpacks.

The Eldar player didn't accomplish much on his turn. He tried to get itno combat by moving his warp spiders forward full distance, but failed, so shot killing a stealth suit, and then warped back into cover. He shot at my helios with his prism tank but missed. He killed a single firewarrior with one of his ranger squads.

I then, moved back into fireing range with my stealths, killing one, and jumping back. He now had 2-3 warp spiders left (don't remember exact number). With the combination of both my helios and fireknife firepower I was able to take down the Fire prism tank. I shot his rangers, killing 2 with my fire warriors, and they failed their morale test and started to run.

Next turn his rangers continued to run. He moved his warp spiders up, this time being able to assault my stealth suits. Assault didn't do much. We both lost a single model. On my turn I was able to shoot his other ranger squad, forcing them to start running. All he really had left was a Farseer, and his remaining warp spiders.

We then called it, because I still had a full fire warrior squad, another squad of 7 fire warriors, and my helios and fireknife elite battlesuits.

So, Tau victory (myself) for the greater good!
