Rep Power: 20 ![]() | I have seen alot of people recommending putting a TH/SS on GKT but what about putting a daemon Hammer on one of your GKT or even on your HQ BC/GM? Or maybe even a DH/SS, Has anyone tried this or recommend this? Just wondering as I really want to put Cortez's hammer one of my T's and thought this might be a cool add. Thanks for the input |

Well the main reason people go with the TH / SS is cause it is a free switch on a normal GKT, were as the DH / SS would be 40 points to add on a bro-cap. I do however have a GM with NFW and DH as this gives him 5(6 off the charge) attacks in CC that are S6 force weapon or S8 with the thunder hammer effect.

Also, this belongs in the Daemonhunters main forum, rather than the Daemonhunters Army Lists subforum =). But yeah, Lyrazu hit the nail on the head (hmmm, hammer analogies seem particularly fitting in this thread ). The other reason to put it on a squad member rather than your BC or GM is that the Brother-Captain and Grand Master are both Independent Characters, and can thus be singled out in close combat. So you've got a better chance of actually getting to swing with it if it's not on an IC. Also, the GM has good initiative, and it'd be a pity to waste it on a 'strikes-last' weapon.Personally, if I were to use a Daemonhammer, I'd only use it on a Grand-Master as a replacement for his Storm Bolter. That way you've got the extra attacks regardless of which weapon you use (NFW or Daemonhammer), and can use whichever is best suited to the combat at hand. If you're up against an equal-or-lower initiative foe, the NFW will probably do better, but if you're up against a faster foe or a daemon, the higher strength is nice. But yeah, it's expensive, and then you have to decide between a high-strength Force weapon and a higher-strength power-weapon, so you're usually better off giving a TH to a squad member =). -H

I just modified a terminator thunderhammer for my GM as the one cortez has is a bit small for a terminator model. As for the psycannon you dont have to model inquisitors with all their wargear so long as they have a retinue but if you want one my friend said it was easier to do on a normal inquisitor model then it was on the cortez model.

Good point, might be a little cheaper too, soon as I get like 3 sets of TH/SS.
