seriously, just look at their ws and bs. those points are better spent on another gk that strikes in i order, comes with a storm bolter and a 3+ save and the aegis.
if you dont use gk thats a different story.

They are not the best CC troops, but for 25 pts you suddenly have a squad that has to be taken in account.
On the charge the Sergeant has 4 x S6 Powerfist attacks that mostly hit on 4+, its not that bad.
Im thinking on equiping the one in the 2xMelta squad since they often will be countercharged after popping a veichle - this way they can make a serious dent in a normal min-maxed squad or making that Dreadnought go another way..
They can't be counter charged. If a vehicle is destroyed with troops inside then they are "entangled", i.e. pinned, for a turn. Of course you are then free to rapid fire or charge the entangled troops that turn if you like.Originally posted by Fonus@Feb 15 2005, 19:31

I meant it in a general way - Stormtroopers armed with melta gun mounted in a Rhino rushing towards the enemy lines should expect some close engagement.. and thoose times a Thunderhammer could be handy...Originally posted by Pooky@Feb 16 2005, 10:34

Also remember they are only entangled if the vehicle moved more than 6 inches it's last turn. If not, they still make a pinning check, but it's not automatic.
I thought that pinning was automatic... Oh well... Besides if the enemy has a transport that didn't move more than 6' in it's last turn is doing something weird...Originally posted by Terzo@Feb 18 2005, 06:24
