WH Inquisitor retinue models as DH Inquisitor retinue?

    Hey all
I just Got some WH Inquisitor retinue models in trade and i was wondering if i can use them as my Daemonhunters Inquisitors retinue?

Why not? The Codex doesn't specify what the models need to look like, and I think the WH models are a good deal better looking than some of the the Daemonhunters models anyway. I didn't really want the "fat guy" sage in my army, so I took a couple of the WH acolytes (the man with the torch and book and the woman with the speaker and scroll) and converted them to be Sages. I cut the torch head and speaker off of their poles and attached scanning equipment (a radar dish and a servo-skull) and painted a bunch of targeting information on their books and scrolls.

It shouldn't matter, both sets of models are from the inquisition, the inquisitions although with different purposes in mind do the same things, keep the emperor and his subjects safe.

I myself plan to take two of the DH inquisitors combine them together just so that I can use the model for my Witch Hunter Inquisitor Lord.

Honestly, there's really no rule for how these guys have to look. In fact, I think it makes more sense to convert them, since they're supposed to be specialists that each Inquisitor has drawn into service... no two should be alike, really.

Fluff-wise, for instance, my Inquisitor's shooty retinue is drawn from survivors of "incursion events", mainly Imperial Guardsmen. So my gun-servitors are going to be heavy-weapons platforms (those dope Forgeworld Death Korps models) and my two Sages and one Mystic are the "spotters" -- the other guys on the platforms. The mystic's going to have some fancy-looking sensor gear, while the other two have the binocs and generally look like they're directing fire.

GW has a little section in Inquisitorial retinues as well, with some interesting conversions, which you can check out here.

    Have fun =)

These are an inspiration to those that want to convert models.
