hey i have a campaing starting up in my area and it's starting a 500pt so this is my list for it
Herald of Khorne
armour of khorne
so what do you think.
i wasted my whole life on warhammer so it's a good thing i have 2 wounds and a 2+invul
1. It feels like you've got too much tied up in you Herald. Yes he kicks butt and yes that is the most standard loadout but its a bit much for 500 points. I would drop everything but the Armor of Khorn and run him in your letters. Run him bare bones, you shouldn't face anything in 500 points that needs a +1 armor and st 7.
2. Plaugebearers are great block troops, but they are really only meh without a Hearld of Nurgle in the squad for the +4 regeneration save. I'm not sure how combat effective they will be alone and in a small group. I would replace them with another squad of letters or netts. If you go up against ranged you'll want you whole army to be able to move fast.
The only honorable options left to we combatants is seppuku or semantics...which amount to the same thing really.
Gotta side with bonzi here, he makes some good points. Without an unit of juggers to take advantage of locus, the herald just isn't fitting into the army well...the herald of nurgle would be a better choice, if only to get some magic on the field. Plus your heavy investment is costing you points you need to boost your numbers, as your going to be seriously outnumbered with so few units.
Also, if you free up enough points you can take some harder units, such as Flesh hounds which are really good, or some Fiends of Slannesh for flanking/ warmachine hunting.
